A jury has found Nicole Linton guilty of second-degree murder in a 2022 fiery crash that claimed the lives of six people in Windsor Hills.
Today the jury deliberated for just three hours before reaching a verdict of guilty on all six counts of second-degree murder.
Prosecutors said Linton, who was 37 at the time, floored the gas pedal for at least five seconds before slamming into multiple vehicles at the intersection of Slauson and La Brea avenues on August 4, 2022.
Defense attorneys argued that Linton, who was working as a traveling nurse at the time of the crash, suffered a medical emergency brought on by a seizure.
Prosecutors said that was not the case, arguing that Linton intentionally accelerated into the intersection before the collision.
Linton’s sentencing hearing will be on Dec. 1.
