What if one city felt like three?
Baku is medieval stone walls, narrow lanes and centuries-old traditions. Then, almost without warning, glass towers, futuristic architecture and the Caspian Sea appear around you.
It’s a city shaped by the Silk Road, oil wealth, Soviet history and an identity that is still evolving.
And then there’s the tiny book that measures just 0.75 × 0.75mm, a palace hidden inside the old city, a skyline that literally catches fire at night, and cats that seem to have been cast specifically for the streets of Baku.
