CASTING CALL

I'm casting for my upcoming directorial debut and am looking for a Young Actress to play the younger version of Mo (played by me). Looking for an actress who is 18-24 who can play younger.

YOUNG MO, age 15-18
Hispanic, Long straight Brown Hair, Brown Eyes.
Sarcastic, punchy, emotional. The personification of our Young Mo is the internal dialogue of Mo (who is celebrating her 30th birthday today). She is embodied as a moody teenager who has nothing positive to say. Acts aloof, but is very sensitive and takes everything seriously. She is the personification of all of Mo's insecurities, fears, anger, mistakes. Pokes fun at Mo while reminding her of all the lies she has floating in her head. In reality tho, Young Mo is scared. She is a part of Mo that is wanting so much more than her current life and a reflection of what could’ve/should’ve been without realizing the truth that Mo is exactly where she should be. Under all the hurt, Young Mo has a heart and cares deeply.

Shooting in Paramount, CA & Bellflower, CA
Must be local.
Must have reliable transportation!
Shoot days are Oct 5th (Monday) in the morning & Oct 10th (Saturday) 12 hour shoot into the evening.

Film's Logline:
On her 30th birthday, Mo wakes up expecting a perfect day only to be met with a series of minor misfortunes causing her inner doubts and internal self-hate monologues to become personified in the form of her teenage self. As the day progresses, more and more things go wrong which makes her younger self stronger and has Mo face her past, her lost dreams, her big mistakes, and causes her to either ignore her demons, believe them, or confront them in this coming-of-age dramedy.

Please email me at [email protected] to schedule an audition by Sept 18th.

Back in June, I had the pleasure of working as a Stage Manager and Creative Director for an inspiring show about the immigrant story in a time of such turmoil in our country. The show... "The Skouras Brothers: The American Dream". I had been working on this show with the immensely talented Sotos Kappas - an artist, musician, storyteller, visionary, & immigrant. He asked me to assist him on this journey and as he told me about the story we were trying to tell, I couldn't help with being so enthralled by his passion!
From an idea, to his script, to planning, securing dancers, actors, and more, we made this happen! And i couldn't be more proud!

Here is some BTS moments from that ONE NIGHT ONLY show. Hopefully, we can put it on again! We also have the DVD of the show available for purchase and should have the show up on YT in the coming weeks....so stay tuned!

Some special thank-yous! I want to first thank Melody Saunders, who was practically my right hand woman in this! I thank you for you understanding, patience, and collaboration! But more than that, your energy, passion and loyalty! ❤️
Next Nikos Georgiou for helping out in so many different ways and being willing to do anything job we gave you! You were in it from the beginning, and I'm in awe of your flexibility and willingness to do whatever for the craft! 🫶🏼
A special shoutout to Steve Norris who makes lighting up the stage look effortless! You make my job easier! Knowing what we know about making this show come together, I am beyond licky to have had you as part of the team!

And finally Sotos Kapps, the master of the show! The man with the stories! I love your passion for doing what you do! We create because we care. Thank you for believing and seeing in me something in me that I didn't know existed! Our first show together you pulled me in last minute to be the Stage Manager (something I had never done before). You KNEW I could do it! You didn't just belive it. From there, you brought me on again for this show and I thank you, because it tapped soemthing inside me that i thought was gone. I started on the stage and it felt to return all these years later. There's never going to be enough words to
