What happens when a body trained from the age of five to obey discipline begins to trust instinct?

For Russian dancer Evgeny Ganeev, the answer lies somewhere between ballet and contemporary art, between the melancholy of Saint Petersburg and the restless creative pulse of Berlin. His long, sculptural lines carry the memory of rigorous Russian training, yet his approach to movement is anything but prescribed.

In this Ten Questions interview for DAM, Ganeev speaks with candour about learning to move beyond the role of the dancer—to create through drawing, painting, photography, film and craftsmanship, and to find new possibilities where dance meets fashion.

He recalls his extraordinary collaboration with Yuima Nakazato, where couture and movement existed together in a performance that could never be repeated.

And in an age increasingly dominated by the digital, he offers a simple conviction: the body remains irreducible.

Paris was sweltering, but Celia Kritharioti's Frozen Eden brought winter to Haute Couture Week. At the Galerie Vendôme, snow fell over a runway of crystal-embroidered gowns, sculptural silhouettes and icy beauty looks inspired by the Garden of Eden.

Jennifer Lopez, joined by her sister Lynda, was among the guests as the Greek couturière contrasted the city's heat with a collection built on purity, temptation and theatrical craftsmanship.

Haute couture has always drawn on the exchange of ideas, techniques and cultures. Few designers express that dialogue as thoughtfully as Imane Ayissi. Presented during Paris Haute Couture Week, his Autumn/Winter 2026–27 collection combined Parisian couture craftsmanship with African artisanal traditions through sculptural tailoring, richly textured textiles and jewel-like colours.

How is Ayissi expanding the language of couture, Jeanne-Marie Cilento examines this question while Andrea Heinsohn's photography captures the atmosphere and detail of one of the season's most joyous collections. Read the full story on , see the Fashion section🏵️

Can haute couture help redefine the future of fashion? At Paris Couture Week, Ronald van der Kemp proves that true luxury isn't about creating more, it's about creating in a better way. His Autumn/Winter 2026–2027 collection, Vive L'Art, transforms forgotten textiles, historic embroideries and rescued luxury materials into extraordinary couture that blurs the boundaries between fashion, art and innovation.

From sculptural tailoring and vibrant patchwork coats to a remarkable hand-embroidered textile originally created for a Josephine Baker costume, every look tells a story of craftsmanship, creativity and reinvention.

Read why Jeanne-Marie Cilento calls Ronald van der Kemp one of couture's most original voices and see all of the collection photographed at the Paris show by Brittany Scott. See the full feature in 🏵️

On a searing summer morning in Paris, Yuima Nakazato celebrated ten years on the official Paris Haute Couture calendar with a dramatic descent into the cavernous Salle Noire at the Maison des Métallos, a space previously used by another renowned Japanese designer Junya Watanabe.

Leaving behind the intense heat and brightness of the streets above, the audience entered a world of shadow, fire and transformation as Nakazato unveiled, his aptley named "Inferno" collection. Inspired by the volcanic landscapes and oceans of the Canary Islands, the work explored the forces of nature, combining ancient tradition, future technology and sustainable innovation in a powerful vision of contemporary couture.
