Bitcoin didn’t just evolve it split.
Over the years, several major forks have branched off from the original Bitcoin blockchain. These weren’t random projects they were direct splits, meaning anyone holding BTC at the time received an equal amount of the new coin.
Here’s what came out of it:
Bitcoin Cash (B*H) → Built for faster, cheaper transactions by increasing block size (now up to 32MB).
Bitcoin SV (BSV) → Took it further, pushing for massive on-chain scaling with even bigger blocks.
Bitcoin Gold (BTG) → Focused on decentralization by making mining accessible again (ASIC-resistant).
eCash (XEC) → A rebrand of Bitcoin Cash ABC, aiming to optimize digital payments and microtransactions.
Each fork reflects a different vision of what Bitcoin should be not just digital gold, but a system constantly being redefined.
