Life doesn’t always work out the we plan. In fact, it rarely does. Detours and roadblocks often challenge us, frustrate us, and even discourage us from reaching our goals and achieving our aspirations...but every struggle we overcome, every setback we push thru, makes us stronger and more resilient for our future endeavors. I wrote this song shortly after I lost my step sister. It was the first time I ever lost someone that was close to me, and it hit me pretty hard..but when I made it thru the other side of all that pain and grief, I was left with a new appreciation for life...so precious and delicate. In a moment, it can be gone. Everyday is a gift and we need to remind ourselves and each other often that we are loved and deserving of all that we aspire to accomplish and achieve. Keep strong friends! Live each day like it was your last. Cherish those you love, and don’t sweat the small stuff. You never know what the tide may bring. From my days with Subway to Venus, this one’s called “Open up your eyes”. thanks to all the musicians and friends that made this possible!
