Dive In Magazine

Arts Magazine
Instagram: Dive In Magazine is an online magazine covering music, art, and opinion. We aim to be honest and push boundaries.

The goal is to be uncensored and produce stories we have passion for. Dive In first started when our editor-in-chief, Camille Germain, got tired of censorship in the media produced by her university. And we’re re-starting in Seattle with a small group and big goals. We’re not trying to be as****es, but we want to be honest and direct when we write about the world we encounter. There is talent in unseen places that need light. For now, our focus is on music; but, art is important in all its forms, and we want to be free to show whatever we find. Thank you for giving two s**ts about the arts!

Hey hey! Read our latest album review of Little Echo’s debut ‘INDEX’ link in bio.

“The albums that stick with me don’t feature record-setting high notes or rhythmic puzzles. On first listen, they come off as elemental, but each time I press play, something new shines through. As much as I love clever songwriting or innovative arrangements, what I really want from music is an emotional experience. That’s exactly what Seattle band, Little Echo’s debut album, INDEX delivers—pulling listeners through an Orphean underworld as it grapples with the waxing and waning of connection.”

“Whether you like Lily Allen’s latest album, West End Girl, comes down to two things: Do you believe that heartbreak deserves vengeance? And how much do you enjoy celebrity gossip?”

Read our latest album review of Nep’s upcoming debut “Noelle.” Link in bio.

“Noelle, the spirited debut of Florida songwriter and performer Nep, vibrates with infectious youth. It’s got that unselfconscious cool-girl energy that feels like a blend of Juliana Hatfield and Lowen. Each track is woven with open enthusiasm — a self-exploratory optimism. You’re drawn in, partly through Nep’s lyrics and partly through a haze of your own memories, into a state of restless possibility. “

Check out our latest song review of Mayday Parade’s “By The Way” Link in bio.

- “Mayday Parade recently released the song “By the Way,” which opens with vibrant intention. They have hit the mark with this new single, featuring strong opening rhythms and the forcefulness of a renowned band. There is more to be said, particularly regarding this powerful collaboration. The track showcases the band’s evolution while staying true to their signature emotional depth that fans anticipate.”

I am thrilled to share the return of my original co-founder Lacy Bursick to run the print issue with me! We started Dive In Magazine together in 2012 as undergrads at Ball State University in Indiana. This full circle experience is truly magical and we cannot wait to share everything we are working on!
- Camille

Lacy is a one of a kind, kick ass human! She now lives in Denver and frequents venues like Red Rocks. Music is an important part of her life, along with her two pups and travel!

First two photos are of Lacy, the third is the two of us together this year, and the fourth is us back in 2012 when we started this thing!
