The Sound Off Team has had a busy and wonderful summer! Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to, from independent doc shoots, mountainside film festivals, touching down internationally, a stadium and broadcast campaign for a major sports partnership, film screenings at various festivals, corporate docs with our close partners and clients, AND a PBS premiere. We’re so grateful as we close out this summer as we look ahead to what’s next this fall!

Sound Off is so proud to have our film, Freedom is a Verb, out in the world today. We are honored that Edel Rodriguez trusted us with sharing his story and showcasing his art. In a world where freedom of speech edges closer to being a privilege rather than a basic right, this film feels especially timely. Funded by PBS, the project took on deeper meaning as we witnessed public media being defunded during our process—a loss that is truly gutting. Thank you to our partners Media
PBS for giving us the chance to share this with the world.

With so many freedoms at risk, Edel’s art speaks volumes, pushes boundaries, and challenges frameworks—all while balancing humor and joy.
Both in front of and behind the camera, we’re fortunate to have had such a talented group of people bring this project to life.
