Sound Off is so proud to have our film, Freedom is a Verb, out in the world today. We are honored that Edel Rodriguez trusted us with sharing his story and showcasing his art. In a world where freedom of speech edges closer to being a privilege rather than a basic right, this film feels especially timely. Funded by PBS, the project took on deeper meaning as we witnessed public media being defunded during our process—a loss that is truly gutting. Thank you to our partners Media

With so many freedoms at risk, Edel’s art speaks volumes, pushes boundaries, and challenges frameworks—all while balancing humor and joy.
