Mama, you don’t need a complicated recipe to build a nourishing meal for your baby. 💚 Sometimes the best meals are simply real foods from the family table, prepared in a baby-friendly way.
These are some of my favorite lunch & dinner combinations for babies 6+ months 👶✨
🥩 Beef, chicken, fish & eggs → protein + important nutrients like iron, zinc and choline
🫘 Beans → plant-based protein, iron + fiber
🥦 Broccoli, kale & spinach → vitamin C, folate + other micronutrients
🍠 Sweet potato, yam & pumpkin → energy + beta-carotene (vitamin A precursor)
🥑 Avocado → healthy unsaturated fats
🌈 Different veggies → different flavors, colors and textures for baby to explore
One thing I wish more mamas knew: your baby’s plate doesn’t have to look perfect. Focus on variety over time—not perfection at every single meal. 💚
And remember: at around 6 months, iron-rich foods become especially important, so I love including options like meat, beans, eggs and fish throughout the week.

For babies starting solids: adjust textures and food sizes to your baby’s developmental skills, fully cook meats/eggs, remove fish bones, and avoid added salt when possible.
