Ceremony for Mother Earth : A Healing, is a new dance drama presentation in production from The American Indian Dance Theater & Rainy Mountain Entertainment Group. The production is created, written, and directed by Hanay Geiogamah, Kiowa Tribe, founding artistic director for the American Indian Dance Theater. Ceremony for Mother Earth will introduce a world wide audience to traditional native dan

ces while infusing current dances and music into the production; while entertaining and enlightening them about the struggle that Earth faces due to disastrous abuse and neglect. The show dramatizes the most compelling challenges facing the human race today: the impending destruction of the earth’s resources and the world’s environment. The culprits are pollution, global warming, human failure and greed. We aim our production at becoming successful in America and across the world, with multiple touring companies and other off- shoot shows running simultaneously. A multi platform extravaganza (DANCE, FILM, MUSIC), Ceremony for Mother Earth marries the world renowned American Indian Dance Theater’s power and beauty with a mix of mediums; using authentic film footage of extraordinary weather and climate events, puppetry, and an evocatively memorable music score to bring a unique theater experience to audiences worldwide.
