Adidas have officially launched Lionel Messi's "El Ultimo Tango" F50 boots for the 2026 World Cup. The Last Tango. The Last Dance. Released on June 5, just days before what is expected to be Messi's sixth and final World Cup appearance.
The design is a full circle moment. White upper with sky blue patches and gold accents pulled straight from the Argentina flag, inspired by the F50.6 TUNiT he wore at his very first World Cup in 2006. Twenty years between the boots, six World Cups between the moments.
The launch campaign hits hard. Messi stands in front of a giant screen replaying his greatest tournament memories, from a teenager in Germany 2006 to lifting the trophy in Qatar 2022. Argentina enter as defending champions in Group J with Algeria, Jordan, and Austria.
No player has worn boots with this much story stitched in. Messi, Adidas, and one final dance to write the perfect ending.
