Took on my first brake job as a mobile mechanic and discovered the rotor was apparently welded to the hub by pure hatred and rust. After 45 minutes with a sledgehammer and enough penetrating oil to violate EPA standards, it still hasn’t moved. Brake jobs are “easy” until you meet a rotor that’s been fused on since 2014.

So... how bad is it?
Went to investigate a noise and discovered my transmission housing has apparently decided it no longer wants to be a transmission housing. Is this repairable, or am I shopping for a replacement?

Little Insurance hack, I cut the cats off of my 2015 Tundra and then made a claim saying they were stolen and then got paid out $3200.00 for them and instead of getting new cats I just went to the muffler shop and got it welded with exhaust pipe and sold the cats for another $600.00 it’s pretty much free money

Trying to get this stripped rotor screw out, and it is not making life easy. 😬

The head is already chewed up, and I’m trying not to make it worse before I start drilling or using an extractor.

I know these little screws are supposed to be simple, but once they seize up, they turn into a whole project.

For anyone who’s dealt with this before, what’s the best way to get it out without damaging the rotor or hub?
