dating as a trans woman can be really tough, honestly. it’s like, you deal with rejection, fetishization, and all sorts of weird assumptions. people don’t always see us as actual people—they see us as something else, like a trend or an experience, not someone to love. and it sucks because sometimes it feels like no matter where you look, there’s no space for us to just be ourselves.

there’s also the whole thing of being open about being trans when you’re just trying to get to know someone. like, when do you bring it up? and what if they’re not cool with it? it’s draining. plus, sometimes i feel like i’m not even part of the cis dating world or the trans dating world, so i get stuck in this weird in-between space.

and honestly, it’s hard to find someone who’s not just curious but actually respects your whole journey. there’s so much vulnerability and anxiety in putting yourself out there, but at the end of the day, we deserve love just like anyone else, and it’s out there waiting for us, even if it takes time.
