With decades of iconic synch placements in TV and film, our authentic, analogue catalogue of one stop music anchors iconic creative moments in people’s memories. Ole Georg, nicknamed "The Father Of Production Music" by the Hollywood Reporter. At age 18, Ole Georg founded the Danish Youth Symphony, which became a stepping stone for music students at the Royal Academy of Music in Copenhagen and others who wanted a career as musicians. Violinist Ole Georg was chairman of the orchestra and the famed composer Peter Deutch its conductor. The orchestra became an instant success and the Danish King Frederick IX became its protector. Within a year, the orchestra was invited to play at the Danish State Broadcasting Co. As “ambassadors” for Danish youth and music culture, the orchestra performed a concert at London’s Royal Festival Hall and on the BBC and recorded a commercial album in EMI’s famous Abbey Road Studios (home of the Beatles) featuring Scandinavian classical composers during a concert tour in Britain. Denmark’s first commercial radio station "Mercur" was established, Ole was offered and accepted a job as program director. There he met his future screenwriting partner and wife, Jutta (Charlotte) and they started hosting weekly shows together. Jutta continued writing scripts and years later collaborated with Ole on the Danish feature “Paa’n Igen Amalie,” where Jutta wrote the screenplay and Ole Georg composed the music. Due to his work with the Danish Youth Symphony, Ole was offered a job with EMI in Copenhagen. The following year, EMI London bought Capitol Records in Hollywood and Ole was chosen to go to the U.S. not as an immigrant but as an EMI employee to be trained by top professionals in the business. Shortly thereafter, Ole was selected to run Capitol Records' “Capitol Hi-Q” department, which he expanded and renamed “Capitol Production Music” that became a major player in Hollywood’s film and television business. Among many exciting ventures, Ole produced and supervised the music in a major joint venture by Capitol/Time Life/NASA called “To The Moon”—celebrating America’s space program (Gemini/Mercury/Apollo projects) and Apollo’s successful moon landing. It is an historic package including 6 LPs and an illustrated book. Ole Georg is also the creator of the successful broadcasting series, "Media Music" - a major programming aid of productions music with volume 1 in the series - consisting of 10 albums - released in 1968. Additional 15 volumes include the Media Music Special Edition series, a total of 156 albums were released in the 1970's. MEDIA MUSIC was so much in demand - during that time - that the Hollywood Reporter frequently referred to Ole Georg as the "Father of Production Music."
