Last week was a full-circle moment.

🎤 This is your reminder that the small, 1% actions you make daily - all add up to major achievements.

(almost) 10 years to the day, was the last time I had been in Austin, Texas for SXSW.

Back then, I arrived as a bright-eyed music business student.

It was my first-time solo travelling.

I knew 0 people out there attending SXSW.

I wasn’t sent there by work. I was a volunteer at the conference.

I used the last of my student loan to pay for (sh***y flights to Texas, couldn’t afford the direct flight so it took me 18hrs to get there from London).

I was an outdoor stage volunteer, and 19 years old, hungry to get anything in music on my CV and as much experience as possible.

I left Austin and told myself ‘next time I’m back here for SXSW, It will be because I’ll be sent here by the company I work for, and I’ll have a purpose in music’

Fast forward 10 years...

The company I work for is the company I own.

I’m also attending as an official speaker on the lineup, a lineup shared with literal Michelle Obama.

Plus - I’m in town with my some of my favourite humans in the music industry.

My inbox was full of requests to meet with me, and Texas radio stations were interviewing me.

I kept thinking of baby Atlanta and her first time at SXSW.

The 19-year-old who was certain of making sure this will be the future she builds for herself.

Good going kid! Keep making sh** happen.
