Lemonade Blessing is OUT NOW in theaters! So to celebrate, we've compiled some of our favorite reviews for this Tribeca favorite and Letterboxd Unreleased Gem.

"Freshly tossed into a private Catholic high school by his devout mother, John falls for a devious classmate ready to push his faith (and morals) to the brink... all in the name of love."

“Haunted by personal tragedy, Tez Steinberg embarks on a solo 9,000-mile crossing of the Pacific Ocean in a tiny 23-foot rowboat. Battling towering swells, isolation, and the psychological toll of months alone at sea, Academy Award-winning filmmaker Bryan Fogel’s The Row is a cinematic and gripping exploration of grief, resilience, and the limits of human endurance.”

This doc was a tremendous lift by our team. Bryan treats his docs as if theyre a cinematic movie; but left with only one mic source from GoPro cams we had a ton of cutting and foley to do. The dialog edit and mix also had their own challenges that we’ll cover soon.

The thing is we carry a “finish strong” mentality on every single movie because there’s no other option. Big or small, you have to finish strong. It’s either good or not. The phrase around the studio when we do internal playbacks for each other is always: “does it sound like a movie?” If it doesn’t you’re not done. And to see reviews come out that mention tone, immersion, or sound design verbatim is a testament to our team’s work ethic.

Our team is currently finishing mixing a feature doc on the Nigerian women’s basketball team’s Olympics run in Paris. The main goal here has been to make game plays as immersive as possible. We’ve cut crowd cheers, hoop sfx and body falls. Once we were able to separate the TV announcer voice from the diegetic crowds, it finally allowed us to start mixing each moment. Some of the tools are ai and some are painstakingly “old school”. The important thing is having the time to work and message it all. The result is something spectacular. Using sound as a weapon, once again 🤝

Treasure Island: A Telling for the New World is now streaming on Audible! 🏴‍☠️

This project features the voices of Keith David, John Goodman, and Glynn Turman. Sound design by none other than Randy Thom (Apoclypse Now, Raiders of the Lost Arc) at Skywalker Sound. We did complete foley supervision and recording, and co-mixed the show in Atmos.

A little history: Long before television, families gathered around the living room radio weekly to listen to live audio dramas, where actors, musicians, and foley artists created entire worlds using sound alone. Today, the tradition continues with notable shows like Kc Wayland’s “We’re Alive” and “Batman Unburied” — and Treasure Island fits right in there.

Couldn’t have done it without sound supervisor and mixer Matt Schwartz and director Orson Ossman. Hats off to you boys.

When asked about his favorite creature sound in the film, Chris picked the Utahraptors. They were created from a mix of emu, cassowary, camel, and alligator sounds.

For the VO recording, we fought hard to get as many actors together in our studio or at least on Source Connect. It allowed them to riff off of each other in real time, fine tune the comedic timing, and add those small details that weren’t necessarily in the script and make the ads come to life. We were playing with echo and reverb in real time so we could better judge the comedy. By using a double mic set up - one closer ‘VO style’ & one similar to a boom mic on set - we were able to convey the distance/perspective changes naturally, using sound as a weapon per usual 🤝
