CHUCKY ALMOST FACED THE ONE CHILD EVEN HE COULDN’T HANDLE 🔪

The writers of Problem Child have revealed that they once pitched Universal a crossover between Junior and Chucky in the early 1990s.

The idea was reportedly planned as a full horror-comedy in the style of Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein, bringing together two of the most chaotic characters from that era.

Unfortunately, Universal passed on it before the idea went any further.

Honestly, this could have been absolute madness. Chucky is used to terrifying children, but Junior would probably have driven him insane within ten minutes. I can already imagine them starting as enemies before eventually teaming up and causing chaos together.

This is one rejected crossover I genuinely wish had happened.

INDE NAVARRETTE IS EVERYWHERE — BUT IS IT TOO MUCH TOO SOON?

I’m genuinely happy to see Inde Navarrette receiving so much attention after her brilliant performance in Obsession. She deserves to be part of the conversation, and it’s exciting watching a new actress experience that sudden breakout moment.

However, I’m starting to think her publicity team needs to calm down slightly.

It feels like we can’t go a single day without another Inde interview, magazine shoot, viral clip, casting rumour, Oscar discussion or random story about her personal life appearing online.

The problem with pushing somebody this aggressively is that audiences can become tired of them before they’ve even had the opportunity to prove themselves in another major role. We’ve seen Hollywood do this before — discover a new star, place them absolutely everywhere and then act surprised when people begin calling them overrated.

This isn’t really Inde’s fault, and I’m still excited to see what she does next. I just think a little mystery and breathing room would help her far more than another headline every 24 hours.

Are you enjoying seeing her rise, or is the promotion already becoming too much?

She’s All That (1999)

Watched this again recently and honestly… it’s still one of the most enjoyable teen rom-coms from that era.

The story follows popular high-school student Zack Siler, who accepts a bet that he can transform unpopular art student Laney Boggs into the school’s prom queen, only for his feelings towards her to become real.

Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook have great chemistry, but Matthew Lillard nearly steals the entire film whenever he appears. The makeover storyline has definitely aged in places, but the charm, humour, soundtrack and pure late-’90s atmosphere make it incredibly easy to rewatch.

Honestly… if you like nostalgic teen movies, likeable characters and proper old-school rom-coms, this is one I’ll always recommend.

JULIA GARNER SAYS THE MADONNA BIOPIC “HAS TO GET MADE”

Julia Garner still isn’t ready to give up on playing Madonna.

The actress was asked about the long-delayed biopic during a new interview and made her feelings clear: “I think the movie has to get made.” However, she also added, “But we’ll see,” meaning its future remains uncertain.

Garner was personally chosen by Madonna for the role in 2022 after an intense audition process reportedly involving acting, singing and long dance sessions.

Madonna was expected to direct the film herself and spent years developing different versions of the screenplay. However, Universal halted the project in 2023, with Madonna recently claiming that disagreements over its scale and required budget caused everything to fall apart.

Garner and Madonna have remained close and recently filmed an appearance together for Season 2 of The Studio, so it’s clear the connection between them is still there.

Honestly, I still think Garner is one of the strongest possible choices. She has the intensity, fearlessness and ability to completely transform that a role like Madonna would need. The project clearly has problems behind the scenes, but this is one music biopic I genuinely want to see happen.

Would Julia Garner make a convincing Madonna? 👀

TOP 5 JOHNNY DEPP MOVIES

YOU MUST WATCH

Most people automatically associate Johnny Depp with Captain Jack Sparrow or Tim Burton, but his filmography has far more range than people sometimes remember.

A Nightmare on Elm Street
Depp doesn’t have the biggest role, but you can’t ignore the film that started his career. Glen’s death remains one of horror’s most memorable scenes.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street
One of the darkest performances of his career. Depp completely commits to the character, handles the musical side brilliantly and brings real pain beneath all the madness.

Donnie Brasco
Probably one of his most underrated performances. He’s quiet, controlled and completely believable as an FBI agent losing himself inside the Mafia while holding his own opposite Al Pacino.

Edward Scissorhands
The role that proved how special Depp could be. Edward barely speaks, yet he gives him so much innocence, sadness and warmth through his expressions alone.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
There was never going to be another No. 1. Captain Jack Sparrow became one of cinema’s most iconic characters, made Depp a global superstar and earned him his first Oscar nomination.

Leaving Blow, Finding Neverland, Ed Wood, What’s Eating Gilbert Grape and Sleepy Hollow out was HARD, but these are the five I’d recommend first.

SARAH CATHERINE HOOK WILL BATTLE A GIANT PYTHON IN ‘CRUSH’

After breaking out as Piper Ratliff in The White Lotus Season 3, Sarah Catherine Hook has landed her first major leading role in a feature film.

She’ll star in Crush, a survival thriller following a woman who wakes up in the Everglades trapped inside the coils of a massive python. With every breath bringing her closer to death, she must somehow find a way to escape.

The film is reportedly inspired by true events and will unfold mainly in real time, creating what sounds like a tense and claustrophobic fight for survival.

Julius Avery, the director behind Overlord, Samaritan and The Pope’s Exorcist, will direct. Overlord had some genuinely intense sequences, so he feels like a strong choice for a film that will rely heavily on tension and atmosphere.

Writer John Fischer reportedly wrote the screenplay in his spare time under a pseudonym. After it gained attention on the Black List, it sparked a bidding war before 20th Century Studios secured it. Filming is expected to begin in Australia this autumn.

Honestly, I love how simple the premise is: one actress, one enormous python and a clock constantly working against her. If they keep it grounded instead of turning it into a ridiculous CGI snake movie, this could be a seriously effective survival thriller.

ATLANTA WAS SO FAR AHEAD OF ITS TIME, TELEVISION STILL HASN’T CAUGHT UP.

The further we get away from Atlanta, the more I realise just how special this show actually was.

Donald Glover could have made a straightforward comedy about Earn managing his rapper cousin Paper Boi. Instead, he created a show that could completely change genre from one episode to the next.

One week it was a comedy. The next it felt like a psychological horror film, a fake documentary, a surreal nightmare or a piece of social commentary disguised as one long joke.

“Barbershop” somehow turned Paper Boi trying to get a haircut from Bibby into one of the funniest and most stressful episodes of television I’ve ever watched. “Teddy Perkins” felt like a completely different horror series. “B.A.N.” recreated an entire television network. “Woods” stripped everything back and gave Brian Tyree Henry some of his finest material.

Then you had episodes like “The Goof Who Sat by the Door,” where Atlanta practically abandoned its main characters and created a full mockumentary about the making of A Goofy Movie—and it worked brilliantly.

That was the magic of Atlanta. It never explained the joke, warned you when reality was about to change or treated its audience like they needed everything spoon-fed to them. Donald Glover, Hiro Murai and the entire creative team simply trusted viewers to keep up.

Four seasons later, I still don’t think another show has managed to combine comedy, horror, music, Black culture and complete absurdity quite like it.

Atlanta didn’t follow television’s rules. It created its own.

What is the greatest Atlanta episode ever?

STEPHEN GRAHAM HAS OFFICIALLY JOINED HEAT 2 🔥

Stephen Graham has joined Michael Mann’s long-awaited sequel, with rumours suggesting he could play a younger version of Robert De Niro’s master thief Neil McCauley.

If the remaining deals are finalised, Graham could be joined by Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, Adam Driver, Jason Clarke and Odessa Young. That is a ridiculously stacked cast.

Heat 2 will act as both a prequel and sequel to the 1995 crime classic, exploring events before the original film as well as what happened afterwards.

Honestly, Stephen Graham feels perfect for Michael Mann’s world. He’s one of those actors who brings intensity to every role without ever making it feel forced, and the possibility of him taking on a younger Neil McCauley is genuinely exciting.

Following Robert De Niro in one of his most iconic roles is a massive challenge, but if there’s one actor I trust to make the character his own, it’s Graham.

What do you think of this casting?

On a rainy Tuesday, I checked out ONE NIGHT ONLY — and being the only person in the cinema made it even more fun! I expected something light, but it genuinely exceeded my expectations.

Set in an alternate New York, Allie and Owen repeatedly cross paths during the only 12 hours of the year when single people are legally allowed to have s*x.

Firstly, Callum Turner really impressed me. He has a natural charisma that pops on screen, and I understand why his name keeps appearing in conversations about the next James Bond. He’s genuinely funny without becoming corny, embracing the silliness while maintaining that effortlessly cool persona.

I need to see more of Monica Barbaro because I liked her performance as well. She brings warmth and humour to Allie, although Turner was still the standout for me.

Most importantly, they actually have chemistry. So many romcoms pair two attractive leads together and expect that to be enough, but these two genuinely work. Their timing feels natural, they bounce off each other brilliantly and you believe the connection developing between them.

I also give director Will Gluck credit for taking a chance on such a strange premise. A government mandate controlling when people can have s*x sounds more like a dystopian thriller, yet the film turns it into a fun romantic comedy. It’s rare to see a genuinely fresh idea in this genre, so I appreciated it trying something different.

Unfortunately, it eventually falls back on familiar clichés, convenient encounters and a predictable ending.

Even so, ONE NIGHT ONLY is funny, charming and different enough to stand out. It exceeded my expectations, had me genuinely laughing at times and I’d happily watch it again on streaming.

Final Verdict:

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆☆☆ (7/10)

MAISIE WILLIAMS RESPONDS TO ARYA STARK SPIN-OFF RUMOURS 👀

Maisie Williams has finally addressed reports that HBO is developing a Game of Thrones spin-off movie centred on Arya Stark—and it sounds like the project may not be as far along as people think.

Williams says she only discovered the rumours online and genuinely doesn’t know whether she would return. She explained that Arya would need to be developed into someone new because both she and the character have changed so much since Game of Thrones ended.

Personally, this is one Game of Thrones sequel I would actually watch. Arya sailing west of Westeros left the door wide open, but I agree that it cannot simply be the same young assassin again. We would need to see who Arya has become as an adult and what she discovered beyond the world we already know.

Would you watch an Arya Stark spin-off—or should HBO finally leave these characters alone?
