Great couple remote vocal sessions this last week to wrap up production on the song EP/soundtrack project I’m helping produce. Awesome how music brings folks together and how tech today allows for collaboration across regions. I tuned in from CA, songwriter Ben from NJ and vocalist Glenn and engineer Mark from Ohio. Thanks Glenn for your tremendous artistry and soulfulness you lent to the tracks and Mark for creating a smooth, effortless remote recording experience capturing great vocal recordings. Such a fun couple of days collaborating with you all!

Last of edits and then it’s off to mixing!

(And everyone reading this go check out Glenn’s tunes! Such sincere, soulful music and a tremendously talented singer-songwriter.)

Awesome drums & bass recording session this week at The Village for a songwriter/film soundtrack project I’m producing. Thanks guys for bringing your musicianship and creativity to these parts. Your creative sensibilities elevated the material. And thanks Alex for capturing awesome recordings and creating a great experience in the studio. Awesome to hear these tracks come further to life and always awesome to collaborate on the music with a great group of musicians and engineers in a great space. Always such a thrill.

Great remote session tracking vocals in NYC for my collaborator and friend Ben's upcoming songwriter EP I'm helping produce. Thanks Liz for adding your artistry and soulfulness to this project and Mor for capturing quality recordings and making the remote nature of the session a smooth workflow. Made me want to hop right back on an N/Q train and catch a ride up into Astoria like the good ole days.

Always awesome having the chance to celebrate the work together with your team. Love the indie film space, its creativity and the collaborative environment dedicated towards bringing inventive and meaningful stories to life.

Thanks to the Christian Worldview Film Festival again for recognizing both the film and score for “The Stranger - Short Film.” It was great news to hear the film did well at the festival. Thanks too to the festival for sending along this thoughtful momento to add to the studio. This is the first award I’ve received for music scoring related work. A fun little career mile marker. I share this honor with J.R. Fountain whose thoughtful directorial vision and storytelling sensibilities helped shape the score. Congrats again to the entire team on also winning “Best Short Film.” It is always a joy being a part of creative teams in bringing their stories further to life through the music. Love love love this work and awesome when the projects get out there, reach their audiences and have a positive impact.
