The Bear on the Power Pole
In a small desert town, panic broke out when a young brown bear climbed 40 feet up a power pole — inches from live wires. One wrong move could’ve meant disaster.
Then came utility worker Werner Neubauer and his apprentice Efren Gallego. With calm voices and steady hands, they cut the power and slowly coaxed the terrified bear to safety. At one point, the bear even covered its eyes — a tiny, heartbreaking sign of fear.
After hours of patience, the bear finally touched the ground and ran free into the wild. No applause, no headlines — just quiet heroism.
Because real courage doesn’t always roar. Sometimes, it’s a soft voice saying, “It’s okay. I’m here to help.”
