For those in new zealand, when national pitch the kiwisaver change they have coming… oh boy looks intriguing to have your kiwisaver bumped up but at the sacrifice that they dont contribute to your 6% or employers. That 6% comes out of your wages that puts you on the grasp on living cost. Since covid people have been using kiwisaver more because of hardship and that increased in this year alone for hardship withdraws..
we knew from the begining what kiwisaver does n how it works and the option to contribute to it. But making 6% as a default in the current state of new zealands economics. That is a harsh grab and to the wealthier income workers who will not notice the change in there end of week/salary income. May have to Try and start a new off the crown record government
