Netanyahu Praises Passengers Who Helped Stop Mid-Air Incident on Dubai-Tel Aviv Flight Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has praised passengers and crew members who intervened during a serious incident aboard a Flydubai flight traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv on Wednesday. Netanyahu said the passengers demonstrated “resourcefulness and courage” during the incident and helped prevent what he described as a potential major disaster. The aircraft was diverted to Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, where it landed safely. “I commend the heroes on the flight from Dubai who showed resourcefulness and courage,” Netanyahu said. He added that he had instructed Israel’s security establishment to prepare for possible additional threats. According to Israeli officials, one pilot allegedly stabbed the other and apparently attempted to crash the aircraft. Passengers and crew members intervened and helped regain control of the plane. The incident remains under investigation.
