A collector bought a $515 spot in a livestream card break and pulled Cooper Flagg’s one-of-one Topps Rookie Debut Patch Autograph—a PSA 10 card with a PSA 10 autograph and the NBA Debut patch tied to his first Mavericks game.

Dallas reportedly offered a package led by 32 years of season tickets. He passed. On September 25, the card sold through Fanatics Collect for $8.04 million after 83 bids. Fanatics Collect called it the third-most expensive NBA card ever.

This is what happens when scarcity, provenance, an autograph and true price discovery collide.
