17 years ago The Belgian Waffles! were working through their 17th year of existence. That year they played three of their best live shows . . . joyful punk/jazz/noise mayhem that was only scary if you stood too close.

***** NOTE TO TBW!/INDIANA MUSICAL FAMILY TREE FANS: these are the same recordings available on MFT under the Live 2003 title, plus "Punk/Jazz", also available on MFT. They have not been remixed, remastered, or tweaked in any way. Bandcamp, however, does provide superior downloads: you can download in lossless FLAC or WAV formats, as well as MP3s that will sound better than the MFT downloads. The reason: all tracks on MFT are MP3 uploads and downloads. Not to mention you get a nifty cover, expanded liner notes, and - most importantly - a PDF file booklet of new Tony Woollard artwork. As Tony says at the Uncle Pleasants show "We have crap for sale! It's like an outlet mall! Go wild!"

Recording and mastering finished. Pieces uploaded. Cover finished. Need to give everything the ol' once-over, but it looks like everything is on schedule to be released on the next Bandcamp Friday (a week from this Friday). Of course, it will be $1, and after my Bandcamp fees are paid all proceeds will go to people who are working to change things for the better. I will make a specific announcement for recipients of any dollar store revolt moneys on a monthly basis (no announcement, no change).

Stay tuned. Will announce the release by the end of this weekend.

Still not ready to make an official announcement on the next project, but work has begun.

Hello friends, just checking in. Recovering from surgery number two, it's going just peachy 🙄. I will announce a project sometime within the next month to be released before Christmas (hopefully before Halloween, but we know how I am with timelines) . . . and no, it will not be *John Brown's Body*. That's going to become the official dollar store revolt gag until it actually gets done. The new project is completely ready to record, and the recording is just waiting for me to be able to sit comfortably in a chair again for an hour or two at a tme. Once I'm able to start, it should go quickly, so I will announce the project when the recording starts.

Also, if you have something odd and disruptive lying around that you want to foist upon the world, let me know. I can't tell you exactly what I'm looking for on the label, but like Justice Stewart and po*******hy, I'll know it when I see it. It will not be lucrative for you - I'm only charging a dollar, and I will try to encourage you to let me donate it to the funds that the label supports - but if I can draw a few of my demented & talented friends, just maybe we can get an outsider portal on these here interwebs that could warp a couple minds . . .
