Spoiler alert: I absolutely CRUSHED that goal šŸ’Ŗ I actually hit $30,000 last year instead of $20,000 like what I was aiming for which was shocking to discover haha every year I get closer to doing this full time!!

The best way to film for a band is just knowing the right people. If you donā€™t know anyone in your local music scene, reach out to a local band on social media or go to a show and offer photos/videos for free just to get you started and to show them what you can do. I might elaborate on this topic even more in future videos!

Thank you for your question! I do make most of my money through weddings, but I also film for local bands as well. Those are the 2 main projects I do, but thereā€™s other little things throughout the year as well that Iā€™ll take on. Iā€™m not yet at the point where I can do videography full time, but I get closer every single year!

Is this meme still relevant? šŸ˜‚

Sometimes I really get in an editing rut, especially when Iā€™m trying to figure out how structure a wedding video where thereā€™s so many good moments to squeeze in. How do I make it flow seamlessly from one scene to the next while still showing what the day felt like and the love story of the couple? I get overwhelmed and feel like Iā€™ve hit a wall. This just happened to me with a wedding Iā€™ve been working on for weeks, but the second I thought ā€œmaybe I need to try something elseā€, everything just clicked!
