How would you fill this gap? Measured three times and still got it wrong. I was thinking a shim set flush, then caulked with clear silicone. It will ultimately be covered with a throw pillow anyway, but it still looks awful.

Question: Is this common? Paid express delivery ($2.99) but my Dasher has a stop before me. Hi, Fairly new to Doordash as a customer and was wondering if it's common for Dashers to have stops before my delivery if I've paid the express delivery fee. Thank you.

My inheritance. My mom worked hard her entire life - first to get herself through college as a single mom, then to help me through med school. About a decade ago, we got into our first fight. She was 70 and hadn't retired, despite not enjoying her job. She wanted to travel and have adventures, just like she'd told me when I was a kid. I asked her why she was still working, and she said it was so I could have an inheritance, not just a garage full of beach glass she'd picked up on walks. We fought about it, and she retired shortly after. She went on to visit SIX continents! Today, I received my inheritance. This is about 1/100th of the beach glass I now own. I cried several times while sorting the colors into these bottles, but it was mostly because I was happy she finally got to do what she wanted. I've placed it somewhere I can't miss, as it makes me smile so much. Hopefully, it brings a little happiness to someone else too.

So a customer dropped off this remote starter remote at my shop a few days ago because it wouldn't charge anymore. Needed a new lithium battery. So today I opened it up and soldered in a new battery pack. When it was done, I just happened to hit lock on the remote, and it beeped at me... What's weird about that you might be asking? Well this is a 2-way remote with confirmation. It will only beep back at you if the vehicle is in range and it actually received the signal. Our shop is about 4 miles from the nearest town on a rural road. Curious, I hit unlock. *Beep, Beep*. ?? Hit lock again, *Beep*. Then the confirmations stopped.
When I called the customer to let them know the remote was ready, they informed me they had just drove past my shop on the way to another town and would get it on their way back through. They confirmed their locks were "going crazy" a few minutes ago. 😆
The chances of that exact car driving by my shop, and within range of the remote, at the exact time I finished my repair and hit a button just blew my mind. Other people at work were not as thrilled as I was.

I store my washcloth by folding it and smacking it against the wall until it sticks. This is it, completely dry, so you know it's effective.

My wife might be ignoring me and want a divorce, but I'm still putting effort into meals: chicken with homemade sauce, spaghetti, and broccoli. Maybe some buttered bread if she's nice today.

Okay, nah… Who is this feeding??? Because this is not a normal grocery order anymore 😭. So let me get this straight… This is just one tote, and you're telling me there are three more like this??? One full of pot pies, one full of pizzas, and this one just straight loaded with shrimp mac & cheese bowls like it's a freezer takeover 💀. Nah, this isn't 'someone gonna be eating good'… This is 'someone is preparing for winter like it's 1800' 😭. Because why does this look like the frozen section personally delivered to one address??? And I already know how this went… You start scanning like: 'Okay, cool, a couple frozen meals…' then it just kept going – same item, same brand, same everything, over and over like a copy-paste glitch 💀. And at some point, you gotta stop and ask: 'Are we feeding a person… or a whole shift of employees???' 😭 Because four totes??? That's not groceries; that's inventory 😭. And don't even get me started on unloading this… Freezer stuff, heavy boxes, trying to stack it neatly at the door like: 'Please don't melt, please don't collapse' 💀. I swear, some orders really blur the line between 'shopping' and 'restocking somebody's life'.

What is this stuff, and what is eating away at the shower drain? I just noticed the white stuff on it, and the outside of the drain looks eaten away. Is it because of hard water?

What's the deal with tipping, anyway? I ordered a meal that should've been a no-brainer, and somehow it turned into a math problem with feelings. The total was $15.53, cool, but then the receipt was like a diary entry - 'tip for...,' 'buy your own stuff,' and 'living on a fixed income'... um, TMI, dude! It went from a quick bite to a existential crisis about tipping expectations. Is it just me, or did the universe decide to make tipping a moral dilemma? On one hand, it's like, 'hey, good service deserves a reward.' On the other, it's like, 'um, I'm on a budget, can I just eat in peace?' And then there's the pressure - how much is enough, when is it too little, and when does it feel like I'm being guilt-tripped into giving up my lunch money? 😂 Can't we all just agree on a standard... or at least a decent emoji to express our tipping anxiety? 🤔💸😬
