Only 2 weeks until Thanksgiving 😮 Don't wait to book your haircut - it's going to be a busy week. We're opening up on Monday that week to offer more appointment times, but schedule now to ensure you get a spot. Avoid the holiday rush and look great for your family and friends! Many thanks!

🚧 Heads up, Bardstown Road neighbors!

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) will begin a state-led pavement marking project along Bardstown Rd (US31E) — from Taylorsville Rd to Bonnycastle Ave — as early as next week, weather permitting.

⏰ Expect lane closures and possible delays:

Daytime: 9 AM – 3 PM

Nighttime: 7 PM – 7 AM
🚗 On-street parking will be restricted during these times. Please watch for “No Stopping” signs and move vehicles as needed.

This is a state project, not a Metro Government or District 8 initiative — we’re sharing this update to keep our community informed.

Some pavement markings (like parking stalls) may not be completed until Spring 2026.

In partnership with Louisville Metro Government, LDP is seeking a mural artist or artist team to design and install a large-scale mural across the 260-foot south wall of the Main Street underpass, between Hancock and Jackson streets, in Downtown. The guiding artistic theme, "Bridging Louisville," envisions weaving together the stories of Downtown’s past and present with those of adjacent neighborhoods – creating a visual link that celebrates our shared identity and history.

Interested individuals or teams are able to submit an application beginning November 15, 2025, through December 15, 2025. The selection committee will include representatives from LDP, the Mayor’s Office, the Commission on Public Art (COPA), and adjacent property owners.

To submit an application or learn more, visit louisvilledowntown.org.
