There is ongoing interest from UK so a quick note about slight change to the rules, not much but important to know and follow. With many of the popular rabies vaccines the waiting period will change from 21 to 30 days.

UK Rabies Import Rules Are Changing — Effective December 1 🇬🇧

If you’re planning to travel to the UK with your pet, there’s an important update you need to know.

Until now, all pets entering Great Britain were accepted 21 days after receiving a rabies vaccination — no matter which vaccine was used.

But that’s changing.

What’s New From December 1?
Your pet’s rabies vaccine will only be considered valid for UK entry if:
✔️ You follow the waiting period listed on the vaccine manufacturer’s datasheet, if it’s longer than 21 days, and/or
✔️ A minimum of 21 days has passed since the primary rabies vaccination (or the final dose of a multi-dose course)
This means some vaccines now require 30 days before your pet can legally enter the UK.
Vaccines Requiring a Longer Waiting Period (30 days):
• Boehringer Ingelheim products
• Purevax Feline Rabies
• Rabisin
• All Imrab vaccines

If your pet receives any of the above, you must wait 30 days before travelling.
