Ninety-five percent of all of the bourbon distilled in the US is made in Kentucky. At the end of 2018, Kentucky had over 7.5 million barrels of bourbon being matured, ... over 500 bottles of whiskey per capita. Sounds like a pretty good reason the move to Kentucky.
