Last year, my spiritual gifts were reawakened in a BIG WAY.

Before we knew our own strength,
they walked the road ahead of us —
feet blistered by injustice,

moved through midnight
like a whispered prayer,
carrying freedom in her hands
and courage in her breath.
She did not wait for morning —
she became the light.

Frederick Douglass
turned broken letters into thunder,
teaching a nation that knowledge

Then came a dreamer —

who spoke of mountains
even while standing in valleys,
reminding us that justice

In 2011, in the early morning hours while a student at ECCC, I woke up to horrible pain that I thought was an ear ache. That day, I went to the doctor and found out I have TMJ Disorder and Fibromyalgia.

I continued school, graduated and got the classes I needed to go to JSU, etc etc

In 2016, while at Subway, my whole left side (hip & leg) went on during my shift, went to the doctor and found out I have Sciatica all on my left. 2018, is when the Arthritis in my lower back was diagnosed.
2021, I was injured at Tyson Food with a slipped disc in my neck.

Recent doctor visits and test have revealed, me and my body are dealing with more than I realized. Also for 2 weeks (Wednesday will be 3), my face and jaw have felt like they’ve been in a vise along with me feeling sooooo drained and exhausted.

I don’t say pain until I can’t take it anymore then I speak.
I don’t know who else suffers from Fibromyalgia but it’s a full body illness that should always be taken seriously!
Don’t talk down to people!
Don’t assume NOTHING!
Don’t make nobody feel like a burden, problem, or not a person cause they CAN’T when they use to CAN
