In 2013, The Old Dead Tree reunited briefly for a mini-European tour to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their album The Nameless Disease. After considering reuniting permanently following the Covid-19 crisis, they decided to write a new song. Their new single, Terrified, became popular, leading to a successful comeback. In early 2024, while working on their first album in 17 years, they recorded an EP at Abbey Road Studios. The album Second Thoughts was released by the end of 2024. In spring 2025, they toured France with KLONE and completed the production of the EP London Sessions recorded at Abbey Road Studios!

Graveripper, a black thrash band from Indianapolis, returns with their heaviest album yet, "From Welkin to Tundra." Formed in 2019, they have become renowned for their dark, post-apocalyptic sound, with previous releases including the "Radiated Remains" EP and "Seasons Dreaming Death." This new album expands into darker territories, drawing on influences from both black metal and thrash, similar to bands like Immortal and Motörhead. The cover art by Adam Burke mirrors the album's bleak themes, depicting a frozen wasteland. With new members Steven Garcia on bass and Nick James on drums, Graveripper continues to deliver their fierce sound with a chilling atmosphere.

This Friday, Black Friday! My guests will be Matt Carrillo & Philip Morris from Louisville’s Enemy to All! Pending various genre of Metal with a harkening back to an older sound in some cases, have been an up and coming band in recent months in the city.

July of 2020 was a wild time in all of our lives. I was able to feature Wraith on The Metal Forge in support of “Index Case: The Quarantine Sessions” EP which came packaged with a reprint of “Absolute Power” here we are now at the end of 2025, the band has released 2 other albums and litany of others, this week in preparation for their first time to Louisville, Jason Schultz (shred_viking) is here to talk about the band and some other walk of life “content” and just give an update. Friday 11/21!
