Authorities are warning iPhone users of one of the features from the newest iPhone update.

The feature called “NameDrop” is enabled by default with the new update. Anyone with this feature can place their phone next to your iPhone or your child’s iPhone and automatically receive their contact information.

Police said information passed to another phone could include a picture, phone number, email address and more.

To disable this feature, police said to go into your iPhone settings, click general, then airdrop and shut off “bringing devices together.”

A message from JCPS KY:

Dear JCPS Families,

Yesterday, our new transportation plan did not go as planned and did not live up to our standards. In order to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff JCPS is canceling school for Thursday, August 10 and Friday, August 11.

These days will operate as traditional snow days with no NTI for students or staff.

During the next four days, JCPS will work to improve this new transportation plan and ensure bus drivers have what they need to help implement the plan successfully.

Our top priority is the safety of our students and staff and taking this extra time to work through the issues we experienced yesterday is the best way forward.

CEP will notify families if there are any changes to its services.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

We talk about the things you know and the things you need to know to keep our kiddos safe.

With every new device just purchased during Christmas, it should come with a reminder that this new wifi enabled toy is now a window into your private world... your home.

While we can't stop every cyber attack or stalker, there are a lot of things we can do.

Prevention, reporting, or managing risk factors for intrusion into our homes through technology is key to safety on all fronts for any type of intruder whether they want money or to hurt someone you love, there are tools out there to minimize those risks. Some even free.

Digital Citizenship Class is one of those things, and don't worry, the teacher was on Santa's nice list this year.

a revival of or renewed interest in something.

For our purposes... We are see people more concerned with health than wealth these days. People choosing to change jobs after years of suffering through because they were working for someone instead of working for themselves.

This is the time of the entrepreneur and mental wellness.
