Here you can meet other local musicians that use Ableton Live music software to compose and/or perform. Whether you are just beginning with the demo version, or are a veteran user, this group is for you. Look forward to events here in town where we will get together and have fun seeing what everyone is doing. Demos by local artists and workshops to get more familiar with the nuts and bolts of the program and how it can be utilized.

The folks at Rhythm Science Sound are building another sample/loop pack and will be hosting an evening of classical music sample cutting at Louisville Academy of Music. Open to any and all interested. They'll have a few vinyl sampling stations set up with ableton. and/or feel free to bring your own computer if you'd like to join in.

We'll be having a final day of sample cutting to wrap up our sampling course at Louisville Academy of Music. We'll be cutting samples for a few hours, and will have some extra stations set up if anyone wants to come through and join/help us build the sample/loop pack or just learn more about what we do.

Hey everyone! Hope you all have been doing well. Just wanted to remind you that we have a meeting this Tuesday the 26th - feel free to join! We'll be having a discussion about our approaches to conveying darker moods in our music in the spirit of it being a week before Halloween 🎃 Hopefully we can learn some things from each other! To give you a head start thinking about it, do you have favorite music you consider "dark"? This song by the Walker Brothers always comes to mind when I think about darker music!

First released in july 1978 on the album "Nite Flights" (Sony Music), this version is from the 2001 release "If You Could Hear Me Now" (Columbia). Composed a...

Hey all! Hope everyone's looking forward to our meetup on Tuesday! We're excited to see folks there.

I thought I'd share something pretty cool - there's a ton of great Max for Live devices out there that can help you in your productions or add new creative layers to your workflow. And a lot of them are free! Here's an interesting one from Suzuki Kentaro, which lets you create drawings that act as LFOs for different parameters! He's got a couple other free devices like this, all just as creative.

If anyone has any favorite Max for Live devices, let us know as well!

Hey everyone! In case you haven't seen our event post, we'll be having another virtual meetup for the User Group Tuesday September 28th, 7-8:30 PM! We'll update you soon about guest presenters, but we'd also love to see what you all have been working on. Does anyone have cool music projects they would like to share? Bring it to the meeting and we'd love to talk about it!

In the meantime, here's an inspiring video Ableton posted this last week as part of their One Thing series. Musician Maya Shenfeld turns Ableton into a deep drone machine using an approach I wouldn't have thought of. Check it out!

Our One Thing series takes you into the workspaces of musicians, producers and other artists to discover a method they rely on to keep their creative flame a...
