We are excited to release Macy and William's wedding film.

"Together we become what we could never be separately...it is no longer just his story and her story, but it's now their story."

We are so grateful for Macy and William's patience as we worked on this film. This will probably be our last wedding film for a while, maybe ever. It has been such a joy to share the stories of each and every one of the couples we had the pleasure to serve. While the wedding day is such a special moment, capturing these moments have shown us how even more precious the lives built together after the wedding day are. To those lives, to the joint stories now being built, we wish our couples great happiness.

It was cold, but it was worth it. How can you not have an outside wedding in the middle of the Smokies, even if it is December? Dustin and MaKenzie had some of the sweetest (and emotional) letters we have ever filmed. Stay tuned!

It’s been a while since we’ve introduced ourselves, so here are a few fun facts:
✨ We are Nate and Ariel (Ariel runs all our social accounts and responds to most of the inquiries).
✨ We met in college through a friendly game of croquet.
✨ We got married in 2019.
✨ We have a rambunctious double doodle (golden doodle and labradoodle mix). Who is definitely more cool and way cuter than either of us.
✨ We both work full-time jobs outside of Lionlight. Nate in live production and myself as the video producer for .
✨ We are so passionate about telling peoples stories and would love to do that for you!

Tell us one thing about yourself. We’d love to get to know you better too. @ Knoxville, Tennessee

Where to begin, Blake and Macie Ogle had the most beautiful day. Despit not knowing anyone there, everyone made us feel welcome. When Nate and I first met with Blake and Macie and we were asking them about themselves it was clear to see that these two had something special. The way they laugh together is contagious and the way they look at eachother, well, I think Macie's sister says it best. This day was full of unforgettable moments and we feel so honored to have caputred them.

Thank you for letting us be a part of your day.

P.S. I'll be honest that I have yet to make it through the reception footage without laughing.

How We Got Our Name

Before we filmed our first wedding in 2017, I (Ariel) was already dreaming up a business where I could use my passion of visual storytelling to impact others lives. I had been testing out a lot of different names, or ‘Production Titles,’ in hopes to find one that would encompass all that I desired to do. I am a very detail oriented individual, and I feel like every story, or in this case business, needs a good title. In some ways the name of a business is the face of that business. You want it to roll off the tongue in such a way that saying it feels natural, and when others hear it they want to know more.

While I was playing around with different names I knew I wanted to incorporate myself into it. In Hebrew, the name ‘Ariel’ means ‘lion of God.’ I have always loved my name for that meaning alone. In moments of weakness or fear I remember who and what I am: a lion of God. Lions are courageous and strong, they defend and lead. Lions are powerful, but graceful. I love the imagery of myself as a lion with those qualities, but even more, I love being reminded that I am God’s. He is the one that truly gives me the courage and strength to defend and lead. I am God’s lion, sent out to bring about His kingdom of love and redemption. If I have been given the passion and talent to tell stories through film, I want to constantly remember the story of Jesus and include that in my work.

Lion alone just didn’t seem right though. So I turned to God’s word for assistance. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Matthew 5:14-16:

14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
