We’re hiring a Women & Girls Reporter!

Free Press Indiana, which is Mirror Indy’s support organization, is looking for an experienced journalist to cover a new, statewide beat: the well-being of Indiana women and girls.

Working independently and with media partners across the state, this reporter will bring us news coverage, personal stories and deep dives from cities, towns and rural communities, reflecting all voices.

The new Free Press Indiana role was inspired, in part, by research from the Women’s Fund of Central Indiana and Girl Coalition of Indiana, outlining the key challenges women and girls face statewide.

We encourage candidates from traditionally under‑represented communities including women, people of color, veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, and people with disabilities to apply.
