Mike Bucayu started working the idea of the Self Destruct Records label in 1985 to release the 1st Solution Unknown 7"EP the following year. Named and inspired by Brett Ralph's fanzine SELF DESTRUCT which was very instrumental in promoting the early Louisville underground music scene, the label would follow suit by releasing local music on record, tape or CD until 1994.
