📣 Behind the Mic & Behind the Scenes at Bellarmine Radio 🎙️🎧
We’re proud of DJ and former grad assistant Elton A.J. Menezes and the extensive technical and creative work he has developed for Bellarmine Radio, the Bellarmine University Podcast Studio (One Button Studio), and the station’s website — all written, designed, and implemented by Elton.
📚 He created the massive Bellarmine Radio User Manual(s)!
✍️ That includes 1,400+ pages of documentation to onboard students and faculty
🎥 He created 40+ in-depth video tutorials explaining technical systems and workflows
👥 He led live demos and in-person training sessions to support smooth operations
🛠️ The manual covers everything from daily broadcasting to long-term station strategy, including:
How RSOs like Bellarmine Radio interact with the Student Government Association and other student organizations
Technical fixes and upgrades to On-Air Tally Lights, remote broadcasting, rebroadcast workflows, and archival systems
🌐 Digital Expansion
🔧 Elton fully redesigned the bellarmineradio.com website
📬 He built and ran email and SMS campaigns
📱 Elton integrated user experience improvements across web and mobile platforms
🎓 Bellarmine Radio remains Louisville’s only college radio station, and Elton is proud to have helped shape its evolution — both on-air and behind the scenes. We’re grateful.

Well, we’re so grateful and proud of every batch of Bellarmine Radio grads as they go on to do great things near and far.

This year, we’re letting go an unusually talented and dedicated team that transformed the station in so many wonderful ways. We appreciate their creativity and adventurous energy they’ve brought to our radio station.

This time four years ago, Bellarmine Radio was trying to build back from our Covid shutdown (thanks to our lone station manager Spencer Caudill, who acted as caretaker during that difficult time). We were not at all sure we’d be able to make it back at all.

We were fortunate with the arrival of new students that reinvigorated the station in ways we could not imagine. They have built back the station to such a degree that we’re healthier than ever — and have a strong lineup of new directors and DJs taking over in fall semester.

This Friday night, we’ll be celebrating our graduating seniors — as well as our graduating graduate student DJs. Join us in celebrating this talented gang! We’ll meet in the Fishbowl Digital Media Lab in the Department of Communication.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be posting bios of each graduating student to celebrate their contributions.

We’re proud of Bellarmine Radio’s own Elton A.J. Menezes, who was named “2025 Inspirational RSO Member” at Bellarmine’s Campus Engagement Awards for his work with Bellarmine Radio this school year.

His show, “Retro and Modern Hits with Elton AJ,” garners listens from across campus and around the world, including his home in Goa.

Beyond his radio show, Elton helped Bellarmine Radio revamp its entire software and hardware infrastructure, which is something we couldn’t have done without him. We’re more than grateful. Elton will graduate soon with a Master’s Degree in Digital Media from Bellarmine’s Department of Communicatiion.
