Still can’t believe this trip was real. 🎄🚢✨

Back in December 2024, I spent 8 days cruising down the Danube River through Germany, Austria, Slovakia, and Hungary during the Christmas season — and it honestly felt like stepping into a movie.

From wandering through Christmas markets in Munich and Salzburg, to seeing Vienna lit up at night, to standing along the Danube in Budapest with the Parliament building glowing across the river… every stop felt surreal in its own way.

This trip was also a huge first for me because it was my very first river cruise and my first time creating a cinematic travel-style video instead of my usual aviation content. It pushed me creatively in a really fun way, and I’m genuinely proud of how it turned out.

There’s something really special about Europe during Christmas — the lights, the history, the music, the atmosphere, the old architecture, and just slowing down enough to take it all in.

The full video from the trip is now live on my YouTube channel if you want to come along for the journey. ✈️🎥

Would you ever do a Christmas river cruise through Europe? 👀

AirAsia Orders 150+ Airbus A220s in Massive $19 BILLION Deal!

AirAsia has announced a huge order for more than 150 Airbus A220 aircraft in a deal reportedly worth over $19 BILLION, marking a major expansion for the airline’s future fleet!

The agreement includes a mix of firm orders, lease commitments, and future options, meaning the total number of A220s joining the fleet could eventually grow even larger in the years ahead.

The new A220s are expected to gradually replace older narrowbody aircraft in AirAsia’s fleet, including aging Airbus A319 jets, while complementing the airline’s growing fleet of Airbus A320neo family and long-haul Airbus A330neo family aircraft.

Known for its impressive fuel efficiency and range, the A220 could help AirAsia expand into longer-haul narrowbody flying and open new future routes across Asia and beyond.

This order represents a massive investment in AirAsia’s future and a major vote of confidence in the continued growth of low-cost air travel throughout the region.

United B767-400ER STRIKES Light Pole During LANDING at Newark!

A United Airlines Boeing 767-400ER was involved in a rare incident while landing at Newark Liberty International Airport, striking a light pole with its landing gear during touchdown.

Despite the severity of the situation, no serious injuries were reported, and all passengers and crew remained safe in what could have been a far more dangerous outcome.

It remains unclear how the aircraft came into contact with the light pole, and the incident is now under investigation by authorities.

Events like this highlight how quickly situations can escalate during landing, making the safe outcome here especially fortunate.

Make sure to also check out my video flying with Lufthansa on the Boeing 747-8 upstairs in Business Class from Frankfurt 🇩🇪 to Newark!🇺🇸 ✈️

Spirit Airlines has officially confirmed it is shutting down all operations, marking the end of one of America’s best-known ultra-low-cost airlines!

After years of financial pressure and rising costs, Spirit reportedly made a final request to the U.S. government for a bailout of nearly $500 MILLION due to more than $440 MILLION in DEBT! That request was officially DENIED, leading to today’s shutdown announcement…

Passengers with upcoming bookings are being advised to seek rebooking options through other airlines. Additionally, Spirit is unable to pay any refunds to those impacted and thousands of employees will be impacted as well.

Known for its bright yellow jets and low fares, Spirit helped make air travel more affordable for millions across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Air Canada Takes Delivery of First A321XLR!

Air Canada has officially taken delivery of its first Airbus A321XLR, marking a major milestone for the airline’s future long-haul network ✈️

This is the first of 30 A321XLRs that will allow Air Canada to operate long-haul, lower-demand “thin routes” more efficiently—opening up new destinations that weren’t viable with larger widebody aircraft.

The aircraft is expected to operate its inaugural flight from Montreal to Toulouse (🇨🇦 YUL-TLS 🇫🇷)in June 2026, showcasing the capabilities of this next-generation narrowbody.

Onboard, the A321XLR will feature lie-flat Business Class suites, along with new Premium Economy and Economy cabins throughout, bringing a true widebody-style experience to a single-aisle jet.

This is a huge step forward for Air Canada and a very exciting moment for the future of long-haul travel.

The future of Qantas has just rolled out and it is very exiting!

For the first time ever, Qantas’ Airbus A350 has officially rolled off the assembly line—and it looks incredible, even before paint.

This aircraft will launch Project Sunrise, operating some of the longest flights in the world, including Sydney to New York (JFK) and London (LHR).

Nonstop. No connections. Just ultra long-haul flying redefined.

This is a massive moment—not just for Qantas, but for the future of global aviation.

On this short 1 hour 20 minute flight, we’ll take a quick look at the seat, the snacks, and the views.
