Galaxy Golden 3 Flip Phone Gets Certified By The FCC

Flip phones were once extremely popular, more or less every cellphone manufacturer had such a model in the lineup. Well, they’re still quite popular in Asia, a number of smartphone OEMs release smart flip phones, and one such device was certified by TENAA yesterday. The device actually offers a quite nice set of specs, and it seemed like this will be yet another Asia-exclusive device. Well, the Galaxy Golden 3 has now popped up over at FCC, which is quite interesting, read on.

The phone has surfaced over at FCC under the SM-W2016 model number, and it seems like the US will get a new Samsung-branded smart flip phone soon. We didn’t get an image of this phone from TENAA nor FCC, but we do hope one will pop up soon. Anyhow, according to the new info, the phone will pack in a 2,000mAh battery, and will pack in Bluetooth 4.1 LE, Wi-Fi, GPS and USB. The phone will also offer 4G LTE connectivity (TD-LTE), and it will measure 120.4 x 61mm (height and width), while it will weight 204 grams.

Khloé Kardashian Not Speaking to Caitlyn Jenner After Lamar Odom Diss

It's no secret that Khloé Kardashian has had her issues with Caitlyn Jenner, but after the 66-year-old reportedly dissed the reality star's hospitalized husband, their feud reached a whole 'nother level!

"When Lamar [Odom] overdosed, Caitlyn let it be known that she would not be visiting him at the hospital," a source reveals. "She has no desire to help him at all. She told Khloé to let it go and Khloé blew the f--k up!"

The 31-year-old, who has barely left Lamar's beside since he was found unconscious on Oct. 13, allegedly "told [Caitlyn] that she is no longer her father and that Kris leaving her was the best thing that ever happened to their family," the source tells Radar Online.

Khloé did skip Caitlyn's recent birthday celebration at The Villa in LA, which included Kim and Kourtney Kardashian as well as Kylie Jenner. Penelope Disick even made an appearance (Kendall Jenner was said to be too busy working).

"Khloé and Caitlyn are barely on speaking terms and really want nothing to do with each other," the insider adds of the twosome.

We have a feeling this will definitely play out on the next season of Keeping Up With the Kardashians!

Bailey De Young Opens Up About Her ‘Faking It’ Alter Ego

Lauren Cooper may have been hiding a big part of her life during the inaugural season of “Faking It” — but now the outspoken teen is no longer keeping her intersex condition a secret.

In honor of Intersex Awareness Day (Monday, October 26), MTV News spoke to the woman behind the MTV high school student, Bailey De Young, about portraying the trailblazing character, how she educated herself before diving into this role and the special support she has received since Lauren’s medical condition was revealed.

Check out the interview below, educate yourself about Intersex Awareness Day and be sure to catch Bailey every Monday on “Faking It” at 9:30/8:30c.

How would you define intersex if you were speaking with someone who was unfamiliar with the condition?
Intersex is an umbrella term that describes people born with variations of internal and/or external sex anatomy resulting in bodies that can’t be classified as the typical male or female. One in every 2,000 is the general estimation for people born intersex.

What has the feedback around “Faking It”/Lauren’s character been like from the intersex community?
It’s been great! The feedback has been excited, open and supportive. Specifically, InterACT Youth has really partnered with the writers and MTV to help tell Lauren’s story truthfully and organically. We hope to make them proud of Lauren’s story.

With the surge of LGBTQIA representation, why do you think there hasn’t been more intersex characters featured in movies/television shows?
I’m not sure. I think my guess would be that, unfortunately, intersex conditions haven’t really been openly talked about — sadly, there has been an element of taboo. With that comes lack of awareness, education and understanding. I hope that “Faking It” has helped demystify it a little bit and clarify myths and misconceptions, and there will be many characters and stories told in the future.

What was your first reaction when you heard you would be portraying one of the first intersex characters on TV? How did you prepare for your portrayal?
When [“Faking It” Executive Producer] Carter first told me, my reaction was “That’s great! … what exactly does that mean?” Since then, I have learned so much from the AIS/DSD support group and Interact who have really helped educate the whole team and cast. The most impactful, though, has been the real people born intersex who have been so open and generous with their stories. I’m so thankful for the wonderful people I’ve gotten to know on this journey. The writers have done an incredible job writing her story — I seriously can’t imagine it any better — so they really help set me up to do my job as well as I can.

Snooki’s Daughter Meets The One And Only Crocodilly

The stuffed animal from 'Jersey Shore' has a brand-new BFF.

Nicole Polizzi may have had three fantastic gal pals (Jenni Farley, Sammi Giancola and Deena Cortese) by her side through thick and thin during those Seaside summers — but the “Jersey Shore” alum also shared an unforgettable bond with an inanimate object named Crocodilly. And now, the notorious green stuffed animal is fittingly forging a connection with a very special someone in the MTV star’s life.

“Sissy meeting crocodilly,” the “Snooki & JWOWW” star captioned the sweet Instagram snapshot above, which finds her precious daughter Giovanna spending some QT with the wide-eyed reptile. Sure, the toddler isn’t lugging the toy around like her mama once did — but thankfully the lovable Croc has recovered from that traumatic evening when he was hung off of the balcony (not good, Vinny Guadagnino!) and is still ready for lots of cuddles.

What’s your favorite Snooki and Crocodilly memory? Share ’em in the comments — and for a fun rewind, relive one epic Snooki and Crocodilly evening in the video below!

Habana equals Lomu World Cup record as Springboks win pool
Scotland and Japan will fight for the other last-eight berth in Pool B

South Africa secured top spot in Rugby World Cup Pool B with a crushing 64-0 win over the United States on Wednesday to put their shock defeat by Japan firmly behind them and they will play Australia or Wales in the quarter-finals.

Georgia overtook Tonga in third place in Pool C by edging Namibia 17-16 in an error-riddled match in Exeter where the first half lasted 68 minutes and the losers earned their first ever World Cup point, a bonus, in 18 defeats.

South Africa winger Bryan Habana equalled former All Blacks winger Jonah Lomu's haul of 15 World Cup tries with a hat-trick as the Eagles became the first team in the tournament not to score any points in a match.

More than his own exploits, though, Habana was pleased with the team.

"That second-half performance has been as polished as I have been involved in with a Bok team," he told reporters.

The Springboks, who scored 10 tries including a brace by flanker Francois Louw, will play their quarter-final against the losers of Saturday's Pool A decider between the Wallabies and Wales at Twickenham.

Scotland and Japan will fight for the other last-eight berth in Pool B with the Scots holding a two-point advantage in second place.

Scotland meet Samoa in Newcastle on Saturday while Japan face the US in Gloucester on Sunday.

In Exeter, Georgia captain Mamuka Gorgodze led his team's fightback from a 6-0 halftime deficit with a try which Merab Kvirikashvili converted to put them in front for the first time in the match.

London mayor floors young rugby fan

He was described by a British columnist earlier this month as the "albino warthog" -- a name London Mayor Boris Johnson fully lived up to in Tokyo Thursday when he flattened a 10-year-old rugby fan.

The famously eccentric British politician, renowned for his flop of blond hair and off the cuff remarks, was showing off his ball "skills" to a group of schoolchildren during a three-day visit to the Japanese capital.

Video footage showed the lumbering mayor - dressed in a white shirt and tie, his sleeves rolled up - running down the side of a small pitch chased by children.

One particularly brave boy stood his ground only to be floored by the mayor's considerable bulk, sending both parties tumbling to the ground much to the merriment of the gathered press and spectators.

"I'm so sorry, are you okay?" Johnson could be heard asking the boy who nodded and then shook the mayor's hand.

"We have just played a game of street rugby with a bunch of kids and I accidentally flattened a 10-year-old, on TV unfortunately," Johnson told reporters after the match according to British media.

"But, he bounced back, he put it behind him, the smile returned rapidly to his face," he added.

The Conservative politician has previous form in over-enthusiastic displays of competitive grit.

In 2006 he barreled headfirst into former Germany international Maurizio Gaudino in a rugby-style tackle during a charity football match, and in 2014 he mistimed a tackle during an informal kickabout, upending a 9-year-old boy.

As the video went viral, so did the Twitter comments.

"International diplomacy at its finest," tweeted Michael Deacon (@MichaelPDeacon), a sketchwriter for Britain's Daily Telegraph newspaper.

Walk with elephants in Africa via Google Street View

Google has led you on a climb of Mount Everest and let you swim with the turtles in Great Barrier Reef. Now, Street View is offering you a chance to walk with elephants in Kenya.

Launched this week, the program, in partnership with Save the Elephants and with funding from Kenya's Samburu County Government, allows viewers to tag along as the elephants go about their day. The collection of interactive images is focused primarily on the elephant life in Samburu National Reserve, Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust. The goal of the project, Google says, is raising awareness of the growing problem of poaching to feed demands for ivory in Asia and other parts of the world.

But elephants aren't the only stars. There are bit parts played by lions, baboons and Grevy's zebras - including one that was recently killed.

David Daballen, of Save the Elephants, said that upwards of 100,000 elephants had been poached in Africa from 2010 to 2012 but that the number of elephants in places like Samburu are slowly on the rise again.

Google's new program to raise awareness of poaching will transport you to Kenya, where elephants are king of the road

Migrants stream into Croatia in bid to bypass Hungary

Cooperation replaced confrontation Saturday among European nations as thousands of asylum-seekers streamed into Croatia in hopes of creating a new future in Western Europe.

Despite steps that should eventually ease the chaos, the sheer number of people flooding into Croatia strained the resources of one of the European Union's poorest nations. At least 10,000 arrived on Friday alone, and Croatian authorities struggled to keep up with the influx of those fleeing war and poverty in the Middle East, Africa and Asia.

At one tiny border crossing point, Croatian police said thousands were abandoned at a remote crossing after Serb authorities bussed them to a point near the village of Strosinci and left.

Unclear where they were, the migrants tried to cross into Croatia, but got lost in the nearby cornfields. Croatian police found them, and called in buses to take the travelers to the nearby transit camp at Opatovac, but individual families were separated in the chaos.

Cooperation replaced confrontation Saturday among European nations as thousands of asylum-seekers streamed into Croatia in hopes of creating a new future in Western Europe.

Experts agree: The legislation is in place, but corruption cannot be defeated until perpetrators face far more substantial risks

South Africa’s anticorruption policy is one of the best in the world, the only problem with it is that it is not enforced, says David Lewis, executive director of nonprofit organisation Corruption Watch and former Competition Tribunal chairperson. Ultimately, “if there are no substantial risks for engaging in corruption, this is a very difficult battle to fight”.

Speaking on corruption in South Africa as part of the programme at the Jozi Book Fair hosted at Wits University at the weekend, Lewis said South African law even includes something unprecedented elsewhere. “If you are in a position of authority and you are aware of an act of corruption to the value of more than R100 000, which is very small, and don’t report it, you are liable to some seriously draconian prison terms,” he said. “But it has never once been enforced.”

Linked to that is the question of impunity, he said. “If you are politically well-connected or economically or commercially powerful, the odds of suffering any retribution for engagement in corruption is very low.”

Corruption is certainly not a South African phenomenon, an African phenomenon or a developing country phenomenon. It really is a global problem, said Lewis.

But he noted that from what measurements are available, corruption in South Africa – or at least the perception of it – is worsening.
