MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS

• 80% of su***de deaths are men.
• Many men wait years before asking for help.
• Depression doesn’t always look like sadness—it can look like anger, isolation, overworking, or addiction.
• Loneliness is becoming an epidemic among men.

The strongest thing a man can do isn’t suffer in silence.

It’s reaching out.

It’s having the hard conversation.

It’s asking for help before the crisis.

If you’re struggling, you don’t have to carry it alone.

when was the last time you invested in you?

not your kids. not your business. not the house or the people who depend on you. you.

most of us can list every dollar and every hour we've poured into everything outside of ourselves. we're experts at it. and then we wonder why we feel so depleted, so anxious, so tired all the way down to the bone.

here's the reframe i want to offer you: investing in yourself isn't the luxury you get to once everything else is handled. it's the foundation everything else is built on.

and that guilt you feel the second you do something just for you? that's not proof you're doing something wrong. that's just your old programming defending itself. you're not broken — you've been programmed. and what gets programmed can be rewired.

in the newest episode of sit around the fire, i walk through the three arenas of investing in yourself — therapy, coaching, and physical health — and i make the case that you are the single asset that produces every other return in your life.

choosing yourself doesn't take away from the people you love. it increases the value of the one source they're all depending on.

Four seconds. That's all it took for retired law enforcement sergeant P***y Dempsey's life to change forever.

This week's episode of Sit Around the Fire is one I think a lot of you have been waiting for — especially those of you in our first responder and military community.

P***y walks us through the line-of-duty shooting that altered everything, the psychological weight that followed, and the investigation he had to endure while he was barely holding himself together. But more than that, he shares how he healed. Not by toughing it out — but by leaning into preparedness, training, trust, and community.

We talk about "training to the level of your worst day," the rudder-of-the-ship approach to staying ready before crisis hits, and how he eventually got to a place where he can honestly say, "every day is like Christmas because I am alive."

If you wear a badge, a uniform, or you've simply lived through something that split your life into a before and after — this conversation is for you. You are not alone in what you carry, and healing is possible.

You weren't born to wait.

Not for permission. Not for perfect timing. Not for enough healing, enough confidence, or enough proof that you're ready.

You were born to be the queen of your own life. 👑

And the wildest part? You already are. You've just been waiting for someone else to tell you.

In this special episode, I get real about why so many brilliant, capable women keep themselves small — not because they're broken, but because their nervous system learned that staying safe meant staying quiet.

That changes today.

We're talking about:
— The real reason women hold back
— How courage rewires your brain (not the other way around)
— What it actually means to live from the future forward
— The queen mindset and how to claim it now

This one's for every woman tired of shrinking. 🔥

New episode is live tomorrow, and I want to make sure this one lands with the people who need it. 🔥

Episode #052 of Sit Around the Fire features Adrianne Lind — a mindfulness educator and yoga teacher who works with people healing from PTSD, grief, and chronic stress.

We talked about what it actually looks like to regulate a nervous system that's been in survival mode, why yoga is one of the most powerful tools we have for trauma recovery, and how the practice of "responding rather than reacting" can literally rewire how you move through hard moments.

Adrianne also shares breathwork techniques you can use in everyday life — nothing complicated, just practical and effective.

If you or someone you love has been carrying something heavy, this conversation might be exactly what's needed right now.

Today we pause.

Not to celebrate — but to remember.

To the men and women who gave everything in service to this country, and to the first responders who run toward what the rest of us run from — this day belongs to you.

If you're honoring someone today, I'd love to hear their name in the comments. Say it out loud. Let it be known.

🔥 We sit around the fire so the stories don't get lost.

I’m honored to be joining The MisFitNation for a conversation about trauma, healing, resilience, and the journey from first responder service into counseling and therapeutic work.

We’ll be discussing the hidden burdens carried by veterans, military families, first responders, and the importance of reconnecting with resilience, trust, and hope.
Healing is not weakness.

It’s courage.

I hope you’ll join us for this meaningful conversation.
