I love this…
I love that…
I love this the most 😅

Back at MaineTowne Kitchen & Bar in Maineville and I clearly had a favorite problem:

🥨 Fluffy, crispy pretzel + spicy beer cheese + craft beer
🔥 Buffalo chicken flatbread
🧀 House-smoked brisket mac & cheese

And honestly… I’m not convinced I made the right choice.

This is what I mean when I say small town spots are quietly competing with anything you’ll find in the city.

No hype. No gimmicks.
Just really, really good food.

Tried these while filming the Maineville episode of Nowhere Special — and yeah… they deserved their own post.

If you’re anywhere near Maineville, don’t just go for one thing.
You’re gonna want options.

Which one are you ordering first? 👀

The Best Craft Beer + Board Game Spot in Maineville.

Most people drive right past this place… and honestly, they’re missing out.

📍Victory Pints — Maineville, Ohio

If you’ve ever wished there was a place where you could grab a craft beer, sit down with friends, and play board games for hours… this is it.

Victory Pints has hundreds of board games, a free game room where you can pull anything off the shelf and play, handcrafted locally roasted coffee, espresso, craft beer on tap, trivia nights, tournaments, and one of the best community hangout spots in town.

It’s the kind of place that reminds you people still want real connection—not just more screen time.

Owner Riley built something special here. It’s not just a game shop… it’s a place people actually gather.

Located right next to Scoopz Ice Cream in the heart of Maineville (yes, the giant pink building nearby gives it away 😆).

Definitely worth checking out.

Have you been to Victory Pints yet?

Loveland is adding another piece to its story—and it’s on this wall.

A new mural is taking shape at Nisbet Park, and I stopped by to chat with muralist Tom Post Art about the symbolism behind the piece, watch his process and spoke about how the progress is coming along so far.

You’ll find it behind the Little Miami Scenic River and Trail Center building, facing into the heart of the park—and it’s already adding something special to the space.

It’s always great to see public dollars invested in projects that make Loveland more vibrant, welcoming, and connected year after year. Public art like this helps tell the story of a place and gives the community something to be proud of.

Have you seen it yet?

This Random Ohio Town Might Have the Perfect Night Out.

Maineville, Ohio didn’t start with a grand plan. It started with people who were simply… over it.

Early settlers came from Maine, tired of brutal winters and endless snow, and made their way west until they founded a quiet crossroads in Southwest Ohio.

They stopped. Looked around. And decided:
“Yeah… this’ll do.”

At first, people called it Yankeetown (which tells you exactly how that went). Eventually, the name Maineville stuck — a nod to where they came from, even as they started building something new.

And that’s been the story ever since.

A town balancing two identities:
farmland and front porches on one side…
new neighborhoods and fast growth on the other.

Still deciding. Still evolving.

And honestly… that might be what makes it worth paying attention to.

For those of you sleeping on the bright pink ice cream shop in Maineville. The vanilla shake is the litmus test. Run. Don't walk.

Scoopz is a family joint serving up great ice cream in the Maineville village center. And you can drive-thru...

Our next little tour is under construction. We'll get there soon enough. If we could just make up our mind on what we're wanting to call it.

I’ve lived in Loveland, Ohio for 16 years… and it’s not “up and coming” anymore. It’s arrived.

This Valentine’s Day, my wife and I decided to play tourist in our own hometown — and honestly, it might be the best day of the year to visit.

We walked the Little Miami Scenic Trail, crossed the historic bridge, grabbed lunch at Ramsey's Trailside before stopping for chocolate at The Cocoa Muse and toured Loveland Castle (yes, an actual castle)

Loveland has changed a lot since 2010.
More people. More traffic. More everything.

But is it still worth it?

If you’re local — what did we miss?
If you’re not — would you visit?
