Sometimes you wonder if you’re truly making a difference.
I feel deeply blessed that my career path has always allowed me to touch people’s lives in meaningful ways.
For 40 years, I worked in the food industry developing new products—culminating in my time at Walmart, where I had the privilege of helping create hundreds of affordable Great Value food items, enabling families to truly save money and live better. Today, my journey continues with our latest chapter at Home Video Studio.
Recently, we attended our training and awards event in Clearwater, Florida, where we were deeply honored to be named Studio Store of the Year—for the second time in three years (for anyone keeping score).
As grateful as we are for that recognition, nothing compares to the profound joy of seeing someone’s tears when they’re reunited—through a repaired photo, a scanned negative, or digitized film—with the memory of a loved one who is no longer here. Knowing we’ve preserved a piece of their history, something that might have been lost forever, is an honor beyond words.
Do I love what I do? Without question. I can’t imagine a more fulfilling way to spend my retirement—though, I have to admit, eating for a living wasn’t a bad gig either
