NEW SET ALERT!!! It feels like a lifetime since I shared my 80s prom set in May, but I'm back with a new one that's FAR from an 80s set! I was lucky enough to be on the rotation for the Spins & Needles event at Thirsty First Tavern last night.

I brought an eclectic mix of metal, altrock, blues rock, funk, and hip hop. Somehow it all meshed together magically. Listen for yourself!!! A link to the set is below.

Holy crap, Party People! Where did the summer go? I've been over here living like a hermit for the last six weeks, but I'm finally emerging to share that I've got THREE DJ GIGS landing before the end of August.

First, I'm very excited to be back behind the decks next Wednesday, August 19 (7-10 pm), for this month's edition of Spins & Needles. I'll be sharing the stage with and Joe Schmo. I'm still figuring out what this set's gonna' be, but they're usually some of my favorites, so come get surprised! (link in comments)

Next, I'm back at Hive Market on Friday, August 28 (7-10 pm), for their Final Fridays Dance Party. More details are coming soon, but my last Final Fridays set in May (80s Prom!) was a big hit, so expect another groovin' set!

Finally, I'm honored to once again soundtrack the runway models at the fourth annual Bra-zaar Fashion Show and Sale benefitting Tough Warrior Princess on Saturday, August 29 (2:00 pm) . NEW SET ALERT!

As I shared with the organizers, DJ'ing the 80s Prom-themed Final Fridays dance party at The Hive Market last night was one of the most fun times I've had spinning vinyl. Everyone loved the 80s tunes, and there was a crowd on the dance floor for the entire three hours. For those who attended and want to relive the magic -- or if you're curious what you missed out on -- I've posted the first two hours or so of the set on MixCloud. Hey, fellow music lovers! I know I've been quiet here lately, and haven't uploaded a new set for many months. Well, I'm happy to share that all that's changing, cuz' here I am posting about the vinyl set I recorded live last Friday night at the DIYLowell Eighth Annual Community Chill Night. In the spirit of the event, I kept the music low-key but head-turning. This set features everything from bedroom pop to yacht rock, with sprinkles of jazzy hip hop dub, and several international songs, including Brazilian, Cambodian, and African. But one thing they all have in common is the chill vibe! Stream this one!!!

EPIC soul set at The Hive Market last night. These Final Fridays dance parties are the best. I was giddy spinning some of my favorite slapping soul tunes, and in case you were wondering, I brought the movie dance montage video loop as well. It took us a while to get the setup right, but that seemed to be a welcome distraction while folks were grooving.
