I finally made the trip to Saddle Up Coffee Co. in Abernathy, and WOW… this place is something special. You can tell the owners have poured so much love and intention into every detail. Everywhere you look, there’s something fun, unique, and thoughtfully placed. I honestly could’ve wandered around for hours just looking at everything!

The food was delicious, the coffee was amazing, and we’ll definitely be back! I ordered the Saddle Up Latte (brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla), and it was the perfect balance and not overly sweet. Even better? They use my favorite coffee from Amarillo, Palace Coffee! 🤤

If you’re anywhere near Lubbock, take the short drive to Abernathy and check it out. It’s truly one of the coolest hidden gems I’ve visited lately, and it’s absolutely worth the trip. ❤️

I got to do a taste test for Praise and Bean, and let me tell you… every single drink was a hit! The owner is originally from California and is bringing a little taste of home to Lubbock with unique flavors. Right now she’s taking weekend orders and plans to start popping up at farmers markets soon!

Here’s what I tried:

🤎 Dulce de Leche Latte – If you’re a fan of caramel, you’ll love this one! It was smooth, creamy, and perfectly sweet without being overpowering.

☕️ Vietnamese Coffee – This was my favorite coffee of the lineup! rich coffee topped with cookie crumbles that added the perfect little crunch. If you enjoy a stronger coffee with a sweet finish, this one is a must-try.

🍌 Banana Pudding Latte – This one was so much fun! It was topped with a whole scoop of banana pudding, making it feel more like dessert than just a latte. Every sip had that classic banana flavor. If you’re a banana pudding fan, you need this one!

🥭 Mango Sticky Rice Matcha – OH. MY. GOSHHHHH!!! 🤤 This completely surprised me and ended up being one of my favorites! the sweet mango and creamy coconut flavors 🤤 seriously one of the best matcha combinations I’ve had!!

I honestly loved every drink, but my top two were definitely the Vietnamese Coffee and the Mango Sticky Rice Matcha. Those two completely stole the show!

Have you heard?! 🎉 Happy’s now has ICED COFFEE made with Monomyth Coffee, and it’s SO good!

This morning they celebrated the launch by giving away free iced coffees from 10–11 AM, so a few friends and I had to go check it out!

We tried the Vanilla Bean and the Coconut, both with coffee bubbles, and oh my goodness… they were AMAZING! 🤤 Every single one of us loved them.

I already love Happy’s, so this just gives me another reason to keep coming back. If you’re an iced coffee lover, you definitely need to give these a try! They will be giving away free coffees this week Mon-Fri 10am-11am ❤️

Went to Mam’s Thai Cuisine and of course had to try their Thai Coffee… 🤤☕️ It was the perfect balance of sweet, creamy, and super bold!

Not pictured (because we devoured it 😅) was the Coolly Special medium 🔥 and the shrimp pad Thai, and let me tell you… both were SO good. Everything we tried was a hit!

Definitely add this spot to your list if you haven’t been yet!

On the next stop on the Lubbock in the Loop,
tour I went to grab some Cool Kids Cafecito in their new home inside 2nd Chance Books, and per usual, it did not disappoint! ☕️📚

A few friends and I tried the entire summer menu, and honestly, every single drink was a hit!! 😍 There wasn’t one we didn’t enjoy!

My absolute favorite was the Coco Picnic, a coconut cream latte topped with shredded coconut. I also have to give some love to one of their regular menu items, the Horchata Latte, which is always a favorite of mine!

If you’re looking for a cozy spot to grab a great coffee and browse some books, definitely check them out. Their drinks are always so good, and you can tell they put a lot of care into what they create.

Finally tried Otter’s Lab and WOW! 🤤

I’ve been wanting to try them for the longest time, and let me tell you…the Coco Banana was SOOOO good! It’s made with espresso, chocolate, and banana, then topped with the dreamiest banana cloud foam. 🍌☁️ I seriously drank every last drop!! The matchas also looked top tier and are hand whisked.
