Today's PRSA SmartBrief presents two articles that represent opposite ends of the spectrum when it comes to PR.

"When executed correctly, volumetric storytelling should provide a “3D experience, letting the people interact” with the subject, be it a person or a product," says Shlomi Ron, CEO of the Visual Storytelling Institute. The problem with new technologies is that potential can be demonstrated, but practical use is harder to show.

Not ready to say, "Beam me up, Scotty?"

Rest assured, "Old School practices" — think in-person media tours, manual media research, phone calls, and wire distribution — still have a place in PR.

It's Meet Our Members Monday — and one final statement about the value of the APR as we closed out APR month (April) this past weekend.

We asked our chapter members why they chose to earn the credential that positions PR pros as leaders and mentors in the competitive public relations field.

Lisa Du Bois Low, MBA, APR, notes that public relations was not available as a major or a minor when she began her academic career in 1986.

Visit https://bit.ly/38IQNci to learn how you can join Lisa and PR pros nationwide who have earned the APR credential.
