Celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton was transported to a local hospital Tuesday after Miami-Dade Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports he appeared to be harming himself during a TikTok livestream. Deputies said they safely recovered Hilton after de-escalating the situation. He is receiving medical care while mental health professionals assist his family.

Lubbock Police investigating overnight homicide.

LPD was called to the 600 block of Ave Q at approximately 2 a.m. They found Arnold Tomlunson, 60, unresponsive and began life-saving measures. According to their investigation, an argument occurred between Tomlunson and an unknown individual, who then assaulted Tomlunson and fled the scene.

Tomlunson was transported to UMC and later pronounced dead.

🚨***LPD INVESTIGATING MULTI-FATAL COLLISION***🚨

(LUBBOCK, TX) – An investigation is underway by the Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Unit, following a wrong-way collision Thursday evening along Interstate 27 that left three people dead and four others injured.

Lubbock Police were initially notified of a wrong way driver near 19th Street and I-27 around 7:23 p.m. on July 23rd. While en route, officers were notified of a collision involving the wrong way driver and two other vehicles in the 6600 block of I-27 by 7:25 p.m. Upon arrival, officers located two of the three vehicles engulfed in flames, at which time, an LPD officer worked to remove a three-year-old child from one of the engulfed vehicles, suffering minor injuries in the process. The child was transported to University Medical Center via ambulance with serious injuries. Meanwhile, a two-year-old, who was also in the engulfed vehicle, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Through the initial course of the investigation, it appears a passenger car, driven by Oscar Hernandez Sotelo Jr., 29, was traveling south in the northbound lanes, with two children in the backseat, when the vehicle collided with another passenger car driven by Jairon Foster, 24, as it was traveling north. Foster was transported to University Medical Center via ambulance with serious injuries, while the passenger in the vehicle, Lakecha Collins, 60, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Following the first collision, the passenger car driven by Sotelo Jr. continued traveling south, striking a pick up truck head-on. Due to the nature of the collision, the vehicles caught fire. Both the driver of the truck, Alexis Wallace, 28, and her passenger, Aaliyah Wallace, 19, were transported to Covenant Medical Center with serious injuries.

Sotelo Jr. was also pronounced deceased at the scene.

Initial information indicates alcohol and speed may be a factor in the collision. Investigators are asking witnesses, or anyone who might have video of the moments leading up to the collision, to contact them via email at [email protected] or [email protected].
