The GMC HUMMER EV is one of the most outright fun vehicles we have ever driven at GM-Trucks.com. The sheer power and utility completely reshaped how we view vehicle capability. But let’s be honest: it is undeniably massive, heavy, and a handful in tight spaces.

That is why General Motors' new reveal is so compelling. ⚡️🛻

To celebrate the grand opening of the new Advanced Design Studio in Pasadena, GM pulled the wraps off the GMC HUMMER X pickup and SUV concepts. These are highly reconfigurable mid-size EVs built for serious off-road agility.

The SUV version features a tight 116-inch wheelbase, 13.2 inches of ground clearance, an impressive 46-degree departure angle, and massive 37-inch Goodyear tires on Multimatic shocks. They even threw in a built-in trail scouting drone!

While these are strictly design concepts right now, shrinking that unmatched supertruck capability down into a mid-size footprint is exactly the direction GMC needs to explore.

General Motors just updated a critical service bulletin (PIT5687B) that points straight to a loose wiring pin. If you are seeing Check Engine codes P16A7 or P16AF, a loose connection down at ECM Pin 49 is likely dropping voltage and killing your engine.

If you drive a Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, or Escalade, there is one magic number you need to know for your lug nuts: 140 lb-ft. When a shop hits your wheels with an unrestricted air impact gun, they are often applying 400+ lb-ft of force. That is exactly how studs get stretched and sheared off. Always insist on a calibrated manual torque wrench!
