Our Youth Programming of the Year award goes to Cavendish After School. We worked throughout the year with the kids from Cavendish and had a lot of fun. Their grand finale was a production and adaptation of "Chicken Little" of their very own creation. We had a lot of fun and plan to be back with them again in the Fall. Thank you & congratulations to the kids from Cavendish Town Elementary and to Librarian Amy McMullen & ASP Director Scott Boucher for this fun partnership.

You can see clips from "Chicken Little", and the other award winners, along with their work, in this video montage that we made:

Congratulations and thank you to Sammy Blanchette, who has been presented with the 2025 Community Impact award. This is in recognition for “The Tasty Twist”, which he launched as a cross-platform series last Summer. It is both a TV show and an audio podcast. Sammy, a well-known hard-working local musician, produced & hosted 41 episodes of Season 1, featuring mostly other local musicians, giving them a platform to showcase their work and tell their stories. His guests also included some local business entrepreneurs and community leaders. “The Tasty Twist” will be back with Season 2, which will be premiering this Summer!

Take a look at this video montage showcasing this year's award recipients and their work:

Phill Gatenby is the recipient of this year's Outstanding Achievement award.

Phill is an Englishman in Vermont who has fallen in love with covered bridges, adding to his list of passions which also include the Manchester UK music scene and his beloved Manchester City football club. An active member and ardent supporter of the Vermont Covered Bridge Society, last Fall he set out on a quest to document all 100 of the State’s covered bridges, starting at the Southern end and working his way North. His series is part travelogue, part educational, and part cultural heritage, but the sum of the parts is first rate entertainment. It premiered back in December, with a new episode dropping each week. Phill’s now on episode 30… He still has 70 more to go, but it's already been an outstanding achievement, as well as a unique and exemplary use of the platform. Well done, Phill!

Announcing the first of our 2025 Producer Awards...

Producer(s) of the Year: Dave Pettit & Dave VanGuilder. The “Average Daves” are not only co-workers at Ludlow Police Department; they are also co-hosts of their very own TV show. With a shared love of movies, TV, & entertainment, they make use of the platform provided by the Okemo Valley TV studio, to express their (strongly-held) opinions to anyone who will listen ...and judging from the viewership online, people are, in fact, listening! “The Average Daves Move & TV Talk” is now 30 episodes deep & going strong.

Congrats & thank you DAVES!

About Us

Okemo Valley TV began as "LPCTV" began in 2001 as a Public, Educational, Government ("PEG") Access television station. The name was derived from the first letters of the 3 Towns that the station served -Ludlow, Plymouth, and Cavendish. Since that time, the organization has grown and evolved, both in terms of our mission and our reach. From our humble beginnings in the former home economics room in the Ludlow Elementary School building, we have grown into a vibrant community media organization, running 2 24/7 cable TV channels, this website (which is chock full of local video), a community calendar, and providing a variety of media-related services including free trainings & workshops, technical support and equipment to community members, organizations, and the local schools. We are now located in the Ludlow Community Center complex at 37C Main St.
