“We will never solve America’s violence problem by blaming the tool instead of the cause.
Every time we call it ‘gun violence,’ we shift the focus to the firearm, not the person or the society producing that violence. Guns are inanimate objects; they don’t act on their own.

If we truly want to reduce bloodshed, we need to ask the harder questions:
• Why are Americans so angry, fearful, and violent in the first place?
• What is driving people to pick up any weapon—gun, knife, or car—and harm others?

Until we address the roots of the violence—cultural decay, broken families, mental health crises, and the glorification of violence—we will keep chasing the wrong solution. Focusing only on guns is like blaming cars for drunk driving instead of confronting the drunk driver.

Solve the human problem, and the tool becomes irrelevant.”
