17 Year Old Being Detained After Gun Found On Campus at Red Springs High School

A 17-year-old student at Red Springs High School has been detained for possessing a weapon on school campus.

Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Investigators and School Resource Officers are actively investigating a weapons violation at Red Springs High School after a loaded .40 caliber handgun was found on campus this morning.

The weapon was located and seized this morning by the School Resource Officers after a search was conducted.

The Public Schools of Robeson County Administration has been updated on the investigation and will be handling all disciplinary actions in relation to any student.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Juvenile Division is investigating the case.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office at 910-671-3100.
