Requirements: Personally owned handgun, proof of handgun ownership, holster, 3 magazines (or 3 speedloaders for revolvers) 100 rounds of ammunition

Ryan Chin and I conducted our Defensive Pistol class today. The weather was beautiful, and everyone had a great time! I even had a chance to shoot my new C**t Kodiak. It was a fun day!

I installed a Crimson Trace Laser Grip (LG-207) on my S&W 696-1 (44 Special). Now, I will go test it on the range soon!

I’m thinking of creating a revolver-only fi****ms training class, since I’ve noticed that many of my students that happen to have a revolver do not know how to properly load & shoot a revolver. Please message me if anyone might be interested.

To all of my CCW students, and to any individual that has a NJ CCW, I will be teaching an advanced Concealed Carry course next year that will enhance your shooting skills in a potential lethal force confrontation. Details forthcoming.

I have scheduled the NJ Concealed Carry classes on the following dates: ($200/per student, start time 10am for each class)

Saturday, 11/18/23
Saturday, 12/2/23
Saturday, 12/16/23
Saturday, 1/6/24
Saturday, 1/20/24

The training will start with the Use of Force Training for Private Citizen Concealed Carry class prepared by the State of New Jersey and the Provisions of N.J.S.A.2C:3-1, etseq. Next, the student will need to demonstrate the following:

Safe handling of a weapon
Proper loading and unloading techniques
Techniques of proper physical stance
Techniques of good marksmanship

Finally, the student will have to successfully qualify on either the modified Handgun Qualification Course #2 issued on 7/21/23 or the Civilian Carry Assessment and Range Protocol issued on 9/15/23.

Requirements for the class: Handgun, minimum of 3 magazines (or 3 speed loaders for revolvers), concealment holster, magazine pouch (or speed loader pouch) and a minimum of 100 rounds of ammunition.
